RDA Is there any atty out now, or coming out that can be dubbed a "derringer killer"?

I've seen a lot of new attys, snub nose and hobo v3 are a few that come to mind, that could potentially replace the derringer but due to lack of reviews it's not looking that way. Does anyone know of any atty that could be considered a derringer killer, by that I mean it just trumps the derringer so hard in every department that there's no reason to use it anymore?

The closest I've found is the Samurai Bonsai. Not sure that I'd (and I can't speak for anyone else) call it a "Derringer killer" but there are some benefits to the Bonsai like split center post, it comes with 3 drip tip options and I get no spitback unlike the Derringer.

Yep. I dont know about a 'killer' but after using mine for 2+ weeks, I had to go rebuild my Derringer the other day with the same wire gauge/resistance Im using in my Bonsai just to see if that was the difference (I went from a 1.5 ohm/29 gauge single coil to a 1.0 ohm/26 gauge one) and the Bonsai is still a more flavorful and vaporful atty. I dont know what it is about it, theyre pretty similar in construction and airflow, but it beats my Derringer all the way. Up until I got it, I was settled that the Derringer was it for me. It was the RDA that killed my flavorful kayfun 4s and made me start dripping full time, but then someone had to go post a pic of the Bonsai in another thread and damn it I had to try the $8 clone from Angelcigs and its won me over now, pretty sure thats also the one jhholier has as I think we both learned of it in that same thread. To be fair though my Derringer is the Tobeco clone so it could be pretty different from an authentic performance wise.

Im actually kinda surprised we still havent seen more people talking about the Bonsai, I wish it was more popular so someone like Tobeco or EHPro would make their own clone. The Angelcigs one is nice but the SS rings are rather thin and flimsy feeling, and you have to be careful messing with the 510 pin. I accidentally popped the insulator out of the center hole the other day somehow and started getting resistance readings all over the place (not fun when you suddenly get a 7v shot of vaper in your lungs). Took it all apart and reassembled it and its good as new again though luckily.

Chipotle.
Kennedy killed off the Derringer for me(which is funny to me, since it's twice the size), I went from using three derringers on my daily use devices to using none. Derringer has its upsides but the extremely small chamber doesn't do it for the way I vape because I have to drip the derringer so often at the resistances I vape at, and with such a small area to hold juice I can get two real satisfying pulls before having to drip again. With the Kennedy, I can drip 10-12 drops and get 6-8 satisfying pulls without ever worrying about pulling juice up the drip tip or it leaking everywhere out of the six holes in the side of the very small cap.

Nothing has supplanted the Derringer in my line up. I have four authentics, all modded for BF, which makes re-dripping a non-issue, obviously. I've sold off nearly every other RDA I owned. The only non-Derringer RDAs in the stable now are an MMV OverOne, Origen V3, an Odin, and an Arra Mods Lancia... and the Lancia is currently in the classifieds.

Element Mods has a new atty on the horizon which looks promising. I'm also tempted to snag an authentic Bonsai.

The Hobo 3 and VLS Vector could be contenders.

Did I mention that I like Derringers:

All over the place
They are REO Grands, bottomfeed mechanical mods. The Derringers have all been modded for use on the REOs.

So much for it not holing a lot of liquid! LOL

Anyone got a REMatty? I got one coming. Hopefully I will be able to build on it (it has those slots weird slots on the negative posts). I read the flavor with it is pretty amazing if you can get the build down pat.

I had one. I couldn't ever seem to get a good build on it and ended up trading it. Lots of folks love theirs though so it was probably just a "me" thing. The neg post slots are a PITA at first.

I had a Derringer awhile back and thought it was decent on flavor. Then I picked up a Dark Horse Mini and haven't looked back. More airflow option, bit roomier deck and no spitback. Nice vapor and awesome flavor.

Sent from deep space via telegraph.
Ya, that dark horse mini is a fantastic little atty but have you tried the freakshow mini yet?
I get way better flavor off it than my dark horse mini, and it has pretty decent airflow.

Ive had most of the small attys that are out now. Snubnose, derringer, bambino, and the pain in the ... rem atty. None of them completely shelved my derringer. I personally use mine with the doppel cap but thats just a preference. The snubnose is ok i guess, kind of a leaker if you ask me but looks great. Bambino, had its problems as well but loved the overall look. Then theres the rem atty, i have no words, except worse rda I've owned. Of course again, personal opinion.
