Comparing the two is like comparing the same animal, different subspecies. The Mutation X series, have lots of airflow, generally made for creating clouds. Although, I've been hearing the v4 has been delivering on flavor. The Derringer has a much more compact size and chamber. Creating a denser, more flavorful vape.

Nah I dont, saw a fellow at Beyond vape with it though. Don't care for it enough to pay retail or go hunt it down. I won't be a propagator of hype for the sake of hype. The maker is full of himself based on an interview I read. There is no reason these things need to be as scarce as they are. He says this is a product based on every shortcoming he has rectified with his experience with RDAs. Gold plating seems to be a feature for instance, when in fact that is a detriment. Also Ultem being used? No thanks honestly. Get that the ***k outta here and his claims of airflow simulation tests based on a screen capture.

But then again, let's be honest, most vapers aren't the sharpest of folks in all honesty. It's easy to see why this thing has people dying for one when you limit the first batch to 100 and make claims like the ones he has.

Just noticed this bad boy, the Cartel Cascata, or pics are easier to see on the Fasttech version, and there are reviews but the Angelcigs is diff. where they are complaining about. Anyone try one? Is the airflow adjustable? Since it could short out if turned too far due to the chamber reduction.

I also see the Haze Mini and Vertex Mini are short-barrel, but it appears both are dual coil only? Nice addition of removable top cap compared to Derringer though. So many choices, atomic manta veritas magma microdrip ... what to try?

    Mann...I think Catfish may.....:)

Hardy har har! If I only was a bottom feeder...that didn't come out right. LOL

But it may behoove me to get one for the inevitability of my days as a squonker. I just wish REOs (specifically) would come with some of the new chips!

A: Any RDA that has been released since the Derringer can be dubbed a 'derringer killer'.
That is if you believe all the hype surrounding new releases.

Personally I would go with the mutation X V4 Mini (when there is a version with the 'plugs'), it has all the options that you could need.
It has bottom and side airflow (adjustable), reduced sized chamber and the easy to build on 4 post deck.
The only downside for me is the drip tip, I would rather have a standard fitting one rather than being forced to use the one it comes with.

Do they have any OGs left?

Vapinart has the Nectar Micro in stock:

    Nectar Micro

I'm not sure I'd draw any direct comparisons to the Derringer though other than size. The Nectar isn't going to flow nearly the amount of air as the Derringer, if that kind of thing matters to you.

IMO regulation is soooooooooo overrated!!! Everything I own is mechanical and to be honest, there really isn't much difference in vaping from a fresh battery down to 3.5-3.7v. Lately between my Reo Grand and my 18650 Peko I have been consistently vaping batteries down to 3.5v and not even realizing it. I have vaped the 18650 Peko down to 3v and sometimes just below and not been dissatisfied.

From what I have read of your posts you seem to be more of an advanced coiler for sure and think you would have no problem getting a satisfied vape on any mechanical you vape on... Just my opinion...

As to Derringer killer..... Nuppin', Hastur, Vertex Jr., Samurai Bonsai, and the Dark Horse mini....

For sure, but I want to squonk a certain way -- don't know why, just cuz. I am vaping on a mech now and most of the time lately, so you are right.

I am taking this, along with your other post, to mean you are wanting TC... Again, overrated... Just drop some RxW into your coils and you are all set up for mechanical TC... I have never burnt a wick in well over a year now since I switched over to RxW.... I can also go up to 6 months without having to change wicking in my atty's!!!

Ready x Wick in a dripper on a mech is not even close to cotton with TC, but ok. And IMO regulation is the greatest thing in the world. My vape STAYS at 40w or w.e I put it to and I get at minium ONE FULL 16 hour day. Im not a big fan of tc but saying using rxw gives you similar results is madness. Anyways, Stumpy beats the Derringer to me. Derringer was never the be all end all atty to me, I like my Tugboat with the SC much better. The Stumpy should be good but I didnt get to vape mine for long before having it stolen from me and now whos to say I will get one again seeing as my store had 5. Who the hell steals a setup in a B&M anyways, arr we not a community. Sorry, off topic.
