Is there any DIACETYL in any of your e-liquid or flavors you use to make your e-liquid?

Oversight might just be what this industry needs.

I'm sure many, if not all, would welcome it. At the same time, do we think it would matter? Cigs are regulated. Did they get any better for you?

My problem is that many (if not all) supplier's pages on ECF now have threads about the big D. IMPO, there is a better way than to have even the implication that any eliquid supplier is selling big D laced juice to the public without any proof or facts to back it up. We'd be better served if the fear-mongers and protestors contacted the suppliers directly and asked them to pledge to only use flavorings that do not contain diacetyl.

The problem with this is not everyone using e-juice frequents ECF or for that matter any ecig forums. So as many have said why not disclose it on their website. This would allow the consumer to decide whether or not they want to take the risk. For those that don't frequent the forums how would they know to ask if it's not disclosed?

Wow, I have my very own ECF stalker. Cool! Thanks for the advice lady. BTW - this IS the topic of discussion.

Ha! It must be your dashing avatar. Or, I happened to head there after here. And it is but isn't the topic here, but I'd hate to see this turn into a battleground when really it's all Harry's show.

I received word from our international vendor, ( VB will never name another company in a negative light) they provided a list of flavorings to the public that list their flavors that contain Diacetyl, there was one flavor that we use that was on the list and it has been removed from our web-site. I employ all to read the statement issued by them in its entirety. there is a link in this thread to that statement, again we will not name names due to the fact that I personally feel that it is unethical.

Thanks for total disclosure. I hope you post something on your website informing customers that all your liquids are diacetyl free.

How is this fear mongering? Just looking to get clarification on who their flavor supplier is. Personally, I would like to get the scoop on what I am putting in my body and this question is not out of line or provoking a fear response. Nobody here is suggesting to stay away from all Flavour Art flavored juices. If it is FA, then it has been documented that *some* of their flavors contain diacetyl. If VB chooses not to use those flavors in their mixes, then great. I found a new juice supplier.

And I agree with him too!!! His being from Chicago helps too, if you get my drift? If not, just look down.

I called VaporBomb's co directly today, as I was thinking about switching to them, mostly because they're based out of Akron & only about 20 minutes away from my home. Also, because they're talking about opening up a store front. The woman on the phone told me the exact same thing as their response on this thread. Everything that they had, that contained diacetyl is removed from their website. I will be checking them out and hopefully they'll have their store up and running soon. See, it's that easy with some companies- they are willing to work with their customer's health issues and concerns. I am only 2 months into this whole "vaping and loving every minute of it" thing, but am really confused as to why these juice companies would risk losing their customers when, from what I understand, diacetyl is NOT neccessary to flavorings????

Their store is open. They are having a halloween bash on the 23rd. They are the only vendor I go to for juice. You will not be disappointed.

Vikki as many mods as you buy you should be a member not an honorary member.

LOL, Harpo... :laugh::vapor:

I also DIY, as I want to know just exactly what it is that I am vaping in "all of the many mods that I buy"!!!

And that's precisely why I agree with exactly what you said about ALL vendors (including DIY) should post not only in here or other forums, but on THEIR SITES as well!!! And you were totally right that NOT all those that are vaping visit this or any other forum!!!

Just so we're clear, you're all reformed smokers, correct? I just want to make sure because I can't remember having a discussion with fellow smokers about the dangerous/potentially dangerous substances we were inhaling and then tracking down the cig companies demanding that they change their ingredients.

Food for thought...
- eliquid suppliers don't want to injure/kill their customers, that is bad for business
- eliquid suppliers don't want to get sued, most aren't big companies and can't afford the liability
- the industry could (probably will) undergo some dramatic changes very soon, using dangerous substances is a pretty sure-fire way to get on the fed's radar quickly
- ECFers have made a big enough stink at this point that I think we can all rest easy with our trusted suppliers of USA produced eliquids

well said.......
