I personally have not tried a HV unit yet, but if you like tons of vapor like I do. I don't think you can go back to a 3.7v unit. I am currently using a DSE905. Technically it is only a 3.7v unit, but it out performs my SE 4081 and the little Xhale02 and even my Joye 510 by far. I suppose it's because of the bigger battery and maybe slightly higher voltage.

I have been eyeballing the big Chuck, and I would love to buy one. The only problem is the size of the thing. It looks mighty phallic to me. I have seen a few videos of guys and girls using it and it looks like something other than an e-cig they are putting up to thier lips, especailly when the girls are doing it. I suppose one day I'll get over that and buy one anyway because I really wnat something that is HV.

Haha, maybe I'll just be a closet Chuck user, only doing it at home on the DL. LOL

I have gone totally back to 3.7 but what I have found is anything that uses the 18650 battery is just the right place for me. I have 5v pt that I no longer use and have lent out my xhaler. No way to know what is right for you until you try it. I use cartos all the time too. Even though I use the 18350 batteries in my Lil Chucks, I still prefer my Big Chuck with the 18650.

I did try some HV but for me it was too hot and too harsh, so I went with 3.7 mods. I actually prefer a slightly cooler vape and more nuance to my flavors. I get as much vapor as I want, can blow clouds of the stuff, and I also get as much TH as I want since that has as much to do with the niquid as the device.

There are a group of about 7 or 8 of us, all friends who started vaping within a couple of months of each other, so all around the one year mark now, and we have come to the conclusion when talking about this, that if you preferred to smoke a firm packed smooth flavored cigarette, then you will likely prefer 3.7, but if you preferred a looser packed toastier smoke, then you will likely go for the HV.

That said vaping is a very individual thing and you really have to try a few before you find your ideal vape.

I like your description. My hubby and I smoke red Marlboro 100s, at least a pack each a day. Anyone have an opinion on whether Marb. 100s are firm packed smooth or loose packed toasty? I'm leaning firm-packed smooth, but would love opinions.

I am dizzy from all the reasearch. We got Smoking Everywhere kits at Christmas from the mall (had no idea this community existed). We worked them for a while, but now they're pretty much sitting in a drawer. They provide inconsistent drags, break ALOT and ar just not strong enough. BTW, our supplier provides replacements no questions asked, but we got sick of trekking to the mall over and over.

SO, I've got to order something. I almost ordered a screwdriver the other day (with the free extra body for the hubby-what a deal!), but I realized they are 3.7v and got confused again. Plus, I'm worried about the overseas thing. I LOVE wv2win's overview, so the Chuck was on my short list too, but I'm worried about 6 volt now with all the talk of burnt attys. To add even more confusion, I've read alot of encouraging things about the ego the last few days. Finally, everything is out of stock! Jeesh, could somebody tell me what the f^%$ to do already!?!

Satisfying and consistent drags (for a heavy Marlboro 100 smoker), Price and Dependability are my priorities. Well?

I just received the PureSmoker 5volt PT. Wow. I used my 'lowly' 510 later and it just not as satisfying. I have an Tornado/eGo in the mail as we speak. I also have a 5volt, 2amp wall to USB adapter on the way and a 5v, 2amp car to USB in the FJ. So I think I'll be fine. But I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with the Tornado.

If price is an important factor you can get a Bartleby.

If price is a very important factor, you can make your own box mod.
I believe Madvapes sells all the parts you need and provides instructions.

If $80 is not to much for you to spend, then of course I'll recommend a Chuck.

You are definitely not alone with your dissatisfaction and frustration with the RN4081 in general and especially from SE. I believe I could "safely" bet money that there are a large percentage of smokers who tried the RN4081 and are now back to smoking, which is a shame. It's good to see that many on ECF don't buy into "all PV's are the same, it's just user error".

I believe (not sure) that the Prodigy(5v) base kit is $69 but I don't know their current supply time line. I do go through more attys with the Prodigy V2 than I did with the V1. About one or sometimes 2 a month. I would love to find a 5v that was easy on attys. But even going through two a month, it's still much cheaper than smoking.

Good Luck with your search and thanks for the nice comments.
