Is this battery killing my flavor?

So I picked up a 900mAh battery from a shop near my work on Friday which is supposedly a Joytech. Thing is I have been trying all weekend to get the flavor back when using it. I went ahead and screwed on one of my 3 ohm boges and a tank. It produced hardly any flavor, but good vapor. I stuck my usual back on my vision spinner thinking maybe the carto was bad, but no, the flavor is great. It seems like its killing the flavor. Its putting out about 4.1v as far as I can tell so I tried a low res smok carto. Same result, except I can actually taste a hint of my juice. I have heard mention of this in videos, but I can't find anything else on this phenomenon. Any ideas are welcome since I don't think they'll let me return it.

Not the battery, the battery only provides the voltage and current to the coil to make the vapor

is the 900mAh a "fixed voltage" type battery or a variable spinner?

The head is probably the problem...3Ω on a 4.2vdc-3.7vdc (fixed or unregulated battery) is way to high resistance!!

To get 6-7 watts on that you need a 1.8Ω to 2.2Ω, otherwise the vape is very weak or you have to hold the fire button a real long time

Graph to get a "figurative" starting point...your taste buds will tell you where your best vape is....most people find best flavor at 6-7 watts...

Thanks for the quick replies. I forgot to mention that this battery is a fixed voltage and my usual is a variable. I usually run the 3 ohms at 4.3-5v but they work for me as low as 4v. The thing is that even with the Smok carto (1.7ohm) and my spinner set at ~4v I get a noticeable flavor loss on the new battery. Like the difference between flat soda and a fresh bottle almost.

that's the reason right there, fixed voltage. variable batteries will always get you better flavors due to being able to adjust for me, may be the same case for you?

can you try a lower ohm tank and see if it improves for you? say somewhere between 1.8 ohm - 2.5 ohm.
Thanks, but see post #4.

Which Joyetech? The only one I am somewhat familiar with is 3.3V when in fixed mode but I know different ones exist. Look back at that chart and compare watts assuming 3.3. Also notice just how much of a difference .1V makes in both watts and flavor.

Another factor in flavor is airflow. I haven't really looked at the difference in the 2 brands since I never owned either. Look at the physical differences on each and determine if one is giving more or less.

Yes it is possible the battery is the issue.
