I just got this 18650 battery for my vape (aegis solo). And I think I tightened the mod too much when I put it in. There's what looks like a tiny dent in the center of the negative side, and a circular scratch around it. I just want to be on the safe side with these batterys since I haven't had much experience with them yet.
Is this battery safe to use?

It's a Golisi IMR 3500mAh 3.7V battery. This is first battery I put into the mod since the modern new as well. I did buy another battery with this battery, but I haven't put it in yet. It's actually really hard to tell if it's a tiny dent or just worn in the center.
It doesn't look like a dent to me. The scratches don't bother me, many of my batteries have some blemished on the negative contact. I see no issues with the batteries as far as I can tell and I still have all my fingers and the same face only my mother could love.
As uncle said, it kinda Looks more like Scratches than a Dent. I would Check to make sure the Battery Cap doesn't have any Sharp Edges or Burrs on it where it Touches the Battery.
And if it does, I would Knock them Off with some Very Fine Sandpaper.
That is some nasty scoring, check your contacts for sharp edges as suggested. Also maybe don't smash it down so hard Hercules.
All of my batteries that go into mods with screw-on batter caps have those scratches. It's just the cap spinning over the battery end and normal. Just screw on your battery cap until it stops and your good to go.
