Hey guys,

I just received my order from a company called totalcigarettes.com. I ordered the TC Classic (Their version of the DSE901 according to instruction manuel) and ordered carts for the TC Pro by mistake. I didn't think this would make a difference when ordering as I am new to this and didnt think about different models using different carts! It works ok with good vapour but the carts are very loose and keep falling out! My concern however is that the atomizer is touching the material inside the cart and burning it. Is this normal? and if not is bad for my health to inhale fumes from burnt cotton or whatever that stuff is?!

Thanks in advance,

Sadiqqi

Normally, any atomizer on any e-cig is meant to touch the cottony material inside. The material holds the liquid and the atomizer touches the material and sucks up just enough liquid to stay moist.

However, if your cottony material is burning I would be concerned that it doesn't have enough e-juice in it. If the material is nice and moist it shouldn't burn.

BUT, all that being said, I am not familiar with your particular model but they are all generally the same.

(and it's likely some sort of polyfill stuff, not actually cotton)

Welcome to ecf! The cart is supposed to make contact with the bridge in the atty. That is how wicking occurs. But, imo carts are a big pain. They don;t perform very well. You can make some modifications to it, like using a tea bag to replace the filler. Or blue foam, a product sold for fish tank filters. But in the end, it will still work like a cart. Is your model automatic(just inhale to operate) ,or manual(has a button to push to operate)? Reason I ask, is that if you have a manual battery, you can drip juice directly onto the atty(dripping) and vape that way. Some people claim you can do the same with auto batteries, but they are not sealed like a manual(needs to be open on the end for suction to activate battery). If you get juice into an auto battery, it will shorten it's life.

the atomizer with cotton is no long life for usage, about 1 weeek ,it will have burning smell....

I think you are talking about the cartomizers (atomizer+cartridge in one piece) but I think the OP is talking about the kind with two separate parts; atomizer that screws onto the battery and cart that pops onto the end of the atomizer.

True, cartomizers are disposable.

Whatever you ordered - didn't it come with carts? Are the carts that came with it the ones that are too loose? If so, contact them - maybe they included the wrong carts.

Do you have eliquid to add to any carts you have that do fit?

Yes It came with 16 carts but I ordered additional carts as well to keep me going. thats how i know I ordered the wrong ones! Ive been using the carts I've ordered as the pack comes in three different strengths so I', using the high ones i ordered separate. BTW I didn't realise they where different strengtts lol so good job i ordered extra to keep me going!

Hello & welcome Sadiqqi :)

Sadiqqi, what you need instead of buying prefilled cartridges is some e-liquid to refill the ones that came with the kit. For starters it works out so much cheaper.

As for the loose fitting carts you have bought, heat up a needle & quickly press it along the side of the cart (the bit that fits into the atomiser). This will then form a ridge in the plastic & help keep the cart in place.

totally. refilling your carts is super-easy and saves a ton of money... Plus you get to choose from so many more flavor options that way:
