Wow, what a difference. Just cleaned the wicks properly and its amazing. Its like before I was trying to hit through a stir straw and now its a big fat tube, thx. Didnt take long either, I like that. I see the links y'all sent and I appreciate it. I'm assuming then that even being able to self-service this clearomizer eventually I'm going to want to replace it anyway seeing as how you recommend buying more. Any idea how long I can expect each one to last? I'm guessing it will be obvious when the time comes but I'd like to know what to expect ahead of time. Thx again for helping a true newb. I<3vape.

I just went back and re-read my original post and sincerely laughed out loud. well chuckled at least. I guess I just never noticed the wicks at all when I first bought the setup. Then when they gained color I did see them and thought they were like a jello type mass that was collecting at the "holes" I thought the liquid was going to. :/ To the point of, yeah, I was thinking of cutting them out with a scissor. Anyway thx again.

Depends really, on what you vape (thick sweet gum up the works faster) how much you clean it, how hot you run it...

Most of mine ran 2-3 weeks with decent usage...but I also rinsed em out after every tank...YMMV
This is why I rock "serviceable" units now...if the coil burns...just open it up, rinse it out, replace coil, refill and "Vape yo face off!"

P.S. The Mantra around here is "backups for your backups of your backups" Might look into getting a USB bypass rig and/or a few more eGo batts...warning you will be bitten by the bug and if it becomes a hobby..it does become a "money pit" as mentioned before...but a FUN money pit ;)
