within my own thoughts....
Well this is my first post outside the "New Member Forum", so be gentle with me! Since i started vaping, i've wondered if others do this or if it's something i just find pleasure in OR if my Mod will eventually blow my face off....so here goes.

Does anyone else take like a short primer puff and then a long draw before inhaling? I've tried just taking one long draw off my nautilus mini (air flow wide open) and it just doesn't give me the flavor and throat hit that i enjoy.

So i'm guessing this will probably cause my battery to need charging more because i'm holding down the button longer than most, but am i risking damaging anything or catching my hair on fire??? Kiddin' on the "hair on fire" part!

But yeah, was just curious if this is normal....not that i care cuz i'm gonna keep doing it *lol* I just know i go through a bottle of 15mL ejuice pretty quick and my ADV is soooooo NOT cheap!!

Awesome news....thanks Zazoie! Didn't know that about the airflow...will try that out, thank you!

Thanks Stevegmu! I was worried more about it damaging the battery, but now i can relax on that issue.

No won't damage the battery. It's also good for taking a second breath after the primer puff to get a long, deep hit...

Welcome to the rest of ECF Ky Girl! We are always gentle ... well mostly ... oh heck, never mind

:)

Yup, I do that too. The primer puff gets things warmed up and also allows me to get the flavor thing started. The main puff is the payoff round ;)

Yes, it is more drain on your batts, but if doing this causes you to take a few less main puffs per hour, it could be a wash. IMO there is no safety issue with doing this.

Check out the DIY sub-forum. I've been making my own juices for a couple of years now and it really saves money. And I have full control over my juices which is also really nice :thumb:

But yeah, i'm already looking into the DIY thing, but i gotta find a good clone recipe for Jon Wayne by Uncle Junk's....that's the only ejuice so far that i love! And thank you for the welcome! :)

Steve, will have to check out youtube soon....i'm sure i'll find a lot of good info there also! Right now, i've been glued to ECF! lol

Box Mod Lyfe, yeah i think mine has 10 second shut off....which is a great feature i think.

I realized I do this a lot because I also did the non inhale draws while smoking. As for the air flow I found that most juiced that I have 50vg up to 70 vg i use the second largest opening but if I got higher vg it gargles so I restrict the air the next smallest port. The smallest port is too restrictive no matter what I fill it with.

I smoked for 37 years and I used to chain vape when needed to get through cigarette pangs. All that mattered at that point was not smoking and it worked. These days I can go a day without vaping and it's not a problem.

You're welcome :)

You know, I used to like vaping coffee's, strawberry daiquiri and a few others. Since I've gone DIY I have my own recipes that have no known resemblance to anything I ever found in ready mixed juice. Lately I've gotten pretty boring in sticking mostly to one recipe that I really like with another for backup. The sky's really the only limit once you take control of your vape.

Robino1, the reviewers? Don't watch tv a whole lot, is that a new show or a forum here?

Reviewers as in PBrusardo, Grim Green etc.
They review devices on YouTube. :)

Don't worry, you will understand all of this in time. I remember how confusing it all was when I started out :)

When you do watch a video review done by PBrusardo, you will notice his primer puff. You can't miss it :D
