You want 43mm tubing for 26650.

A quick google led me to this Ebay auction, but you can likely find more.

I'm not sure if Lowes or Home Depot carries this type of heat shrink for batteries. Maybe Radioshack does?

Honestly, I never had to heat shrink batteries until I inherited an activity like vaping where it was relevant/needed. I ordered the fasttech stash a long while ago, just because I knew it was handy to have around after some reading. And it is handy to have around. :D

Cheers

I heard about and seen a couple guys use nail polish on their battery wrappers to paint over nicks and on top of the battery wrapper on the positive side to hold the wrapper down and keep flat.

Is this safe and has anyone heard of this?

TIA
I've never heard of this before but I would want to take the chance of risking my face or hands to save a 15 dollars battery. Plastic surgery would probably help me in the looks department but I rather save the money and avoid the pain.
Might as well get dried paint off your skin with gasoline and stand know front of the fireplace

I think it's some kind of acrylic, which should do OK as far as abrasion resistance. It insulates well, and is not flammable when dry and the volatile carriers have evaporated. Fingernails incinerating the girls doesn't seem to be a problem.

Normal nail polish does not have acrylic in it and I would think that a battery that gets hot enough would cause some sort of chemical response with the nail polish.
