As long as people believe there is something in e-cigs to "protect" the children from, it will never be enough. The glANTZ man himself has stated as much. To them, age restrictions are only the first step, the next are banning advertisement, flavors, and taxing the product so much that it is unaffordable for teens to purchase. So what if that means that adults can't/won't have access either.

A lot of these organizations have to keep fighting something to do with "tobacco" or they will lose funding and no longer have a job. vaping ought to be good news to them but that is not going to get them money to continue their scare/hate propaganda.

That certainly is the worst letter ever regarding vaping. Very disconcerting to read, and I can but wonder how this will be received by the Pres...perhaps this may just be a needed spark to light a fire under every vapers .... to be vigilant, and ready to bombard the White house with letter after letter, e-mail, and phone call to call these liars out.

Yeah, my initial thought on reading this was, maybe they've opened a real can of worms that THEIR SIDE would probably much rather not be opened at all -- it's hard to lie in a courtroom -- and get away with it.

Are you sure about the lies? It seems the big corporations, be they tobacco or others, seem to have cornered the market with lies. With enough money, you (not you personally) can get away with anything.

Wow . . . that article reminds me of a LOT of politicians . . .

As to the letter from all those "professional" "public health" groups: nothing from that lot surprises me anymore. They are all truly CRAVEN.

it's a slippery slope they are riding on ... it's almost like, if they don't succeed in demonizing vaping and hijack it soon ... it's going to come back and haunt them.

If they don't hijack eCigs soon ... vaping will be proven to be the world's first successful smoking cessation aid.

I am 100% convinced we are soon going to see very positive health results in vapers who quit smoking.

These people who signed the letter have very serious and real concern for their jobs.

It amazes me that the very people that are supposedly concerned about the health of this country (those that signed) are playing right into the hands of big tobacco.

The other thing that I find particularly troublesome about the letter is that it lumps genuine health threats (cigars and hookahs) in with vaping.

Even the Allen Carr Easyway Organization is jumping onto the bandwagon. Hardly a week goes by without them putting up a new, latest junk science article on their FB page. All these groups just cannot stand the thought that people are now realizing that maybe they don't have to quit or else, rather people can enjoy something that looks a lot like smoking.
