I used to smoke in college like 25 years ago but quit when I graduated. Then I saw e cigs at the mall and found you could puff 0 nicotine. I thought I'd try it. But they gave me 4mg nicotine by mistake. I figure it wasn't a big deal. It also had 8mg and 16mg. A week later I tried the 16mg and got dizzy but strangely I started vaping that like 40 puffs a day. I ordered a vap4 life for a friend who is a heavy smoker (so I got him the 36mg). I foolishly tried one puff. I never did give him the thing and I vap like 20 puffs a day of the 36mg and like 20 of the 16mg. Can I become addicted to vaping? I have to say I truly love it.

Of my non smoker friends, I can't imagine any of them taking up vaping for the pleasure of it. I would say that it's not vaping that has snared you, but the drug (nicotine) in your vape. You say you used to smoke some 25-years ago. You must've found it pleasurable then? Once experienced and found it rewarding, the imprint is etched in your mind; kind of like fat cells remaining empty in the body after losing the weight... they're still there but in repose, ready to fill up again should you fall of the wagon. As for the drug, it doesn't matter much how you get it... vaping or smoking... your body (mind) recognizes it as pleasurable and you're back in the cycle.

Nicotine is said to be quite addictive although I do not know how many studies have been done on nicotine use without smoking.

You were once a smoker so it's an easy habit to pick back up again, even after many years. Honestly I do not feel nicotine it's self is any more dangerous to us than caffeine, both are stimulants and both are addictive.

The choice is yours as always, vape nicotine if you want to or wean yourself off of it! You can easily start gradually going down in nicotine with an ecig. 40 puffs a day is pretty light vaping. You might want to read Strawberry's post, she is an ex smoker who decided to vape http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo.../57071-my-husband-thinks-im-being-stupid.html

Welcome to the family, however you got here!

I'm an ex smoker who took up vaping. I only use 0 mg carts and juice. It's everything I loved about smoking without the smell. My partner, who never smoked, took up vaping too. She finds it relaxing...Again, she only vapes the 0 mg carts and juices. IMO, it's the only the nicotine which is truly addictive.
