I started with 24mg and that gave me quite a buzz; quite subtle though and left me feeling a little bit "detached" from the real world (I read this is probably to do with the absorption differences between vaping and smoking)... 18 is hitting the spot though where i can vape a reasonable amount and feel good, without being spaced out. 36 would no doubt be waaaay too strong at least for me. Maybe order a small 5ml sample and have a try?

Turn around...
Yes 36 mg would most likely make you feel "spaced out" for awhile until you get used to it. I don't know about it making you feel sick, everyone is different. I went form 18mg to 24 and I used to get spaced out but I'm used to it now. 24mg is good for me, 36mg seems like a lot. Like _Nix said get some samples and see what is good for you. It's all personal preference.

You could always order the 36 and if it's too much, mix it with the 16 you currently have.

I had a friend that vaped 36 for about two weeks and once they were off cigs quickly reduced the nicotine.

You need what you need to get off cigarettes. If the 36 doesn't do it, you might want to look into a higher voltage device or WTA.

That would just depend on your tolerance level and how much/often you vape. If you're not DIYing and, thus, buying big bottles of unflavored, then just buy your usual size and flavor (preferably with a bump) and try it. Also buy a much lower nic in the same flavor so you can cut the higher one down if its too strong or so you can just make your own optimal nic level.

ooops: what Caridwen said

Vaping takes effect slower than smoking, so it is rare (but not unheard-of) to get "the buzz."

However, most folks who smoked more than 1/2 PAD (pack a day) of lights usually start with 24, and maybe get a spare bottle of low-nic just in case we find ourselves over-vaping. It is possible to over-vape when first starting because the lack of a buzz makes you think you aren't getting anything, when in fact you
are getting it, but very slowly. Absorption is mostly through the mouth and nose rather than lungs.

I did that ONCE (over-vaping and overdosing) and it was very irritating and a little scary. It made me agitated, and when I get agitated I want a cigarette, and that is NOT how to handle an overdose by definition, even though it was not a dangerous one. So to fix it I had to get ahold of some zero-nic so I could vape without raising my nic blood levels. Then I went to lunch and ate a HUGE meal of spicy food and snapped back to normal.

It has not happened since but I keep low-nic around for late-evening vaping if I feel I'm keeping myself too awake. The rest of the time I'm on 24, which is common for recent smokers. I'll worry about going down to 18 after I've been smoke-free for a long time.

I'm glad you snapped back!

I did that once mixing and tasting my DIY flavors. All of a sudden I got a heck of a headache. Had to back away from the pv for a bit.
