Is vaping and juicing the best healthy combination?

Well, I use to smoke.... and now I vape!!! Also, I must disclose I use to weigh 330lbs, but ever since I started vaping a few months ago, I also watch a movie called "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" and it changed my life. Since then I started juicing these past few months as well, and now I'm down to 260lbs! So I lost 70lbs in 2 months and also vape now, which i believe is alot healthier as there is no smoke.

Do you guys think there is anything else I could do to improve my life and health besides these two big changes I started a few months ago? By the way, I bought an Omega J8006 and love it, best juicer in the world!

Welcome to ECF Puff! I’m not a doctor nor even pretend to be one. Did a quick search on weight loss and losing 35 pounds a month, 70 in two months, appears to be on the dangerous side. I applaud you wholeheartedly on quitting smoking and losing weight, it’s more than fantastic, but hopefully you are doing this under a doctor’s care/supervision. Don’t mean to dissuade you, just encouraging you to get a checkup to ensure everything is going smoothly if you haven’t seen your doctor. Continued success Puff :)

Agree totally with what the last three posters said.
1.
Since you are still a big person I suggest aquatic exercise. eg walking in water or swimming, as this is generally injury free, because you will exercise the muscles but not stressing the joints.
What is important is to raise your heartbeat, for a short period of time, you don't need to tire yourself right out.
2.
get a medical professional to moniter you, it doesn't need to be a GP, or MD,
Use the GP or MD for a full checkup and problems.
3.
Stress This is a big causal killer.
Stress will get you to return to overeating, may make you also return to smoking. Stress seems to be linked to heart-disease, cancer, mental health etc. Even if it wasn't so bad, life would be better without it. Moderate your lifestyle to reduce stress. For some ppl a 1/2 hrs yoga a day will do it, or maybe regular church attendance, for others they need to move to a small town, or change employment. Only you can determine what works.

Way to go Puff. I can and do understand where you are coming from, at one point in my life I weighed 416. I had gastric bypass in 1998 and for 10 years was around 170+- 15 pounds. I was injured on the job and got to sit around for a few years while work comp screwed me over and destroyed my shoulder in a surger 9 months after I was hurt that should have been done the day I was injured, but not the point. The point I was going for was that during that time I got back up to 268. I was considered disabled and now can't work so I struggled with not just spending my day on my .... eating. Since I started vaping at Christmas I have lost about 35 lbs. and plan on losing at least that much more. The biggest thing I can say is cardio and hydrate. I already notice the difference, have more energy and generally feel better. Between not smoking and losing the weight I feel like I'm getting my life back. More power to you.

I'm only 28, so no doctor, but my goal is to be 220lbs in the next month! Finally getting back to my Navy days when I was as shredded beast! Thanks for the reply!

I really like the idea of swimming as I don't think I have ever seen an :eek:verweight swimmer". Might be time to strut my stuff!

Gotta get some physical activity in there too. Not necessarily at the gym, just something!

Thanks snarfies, My fiancee is a very good help when it comes to physical activity! We have many late night marathons :)

Great story, I have recently started going on walks with my fiancee and son, and I can definitely tell the difference in the way I feel!

Just going for nice walks every day can do you wonders..

I agree. Love strolling around the neighborhood, and getting outside. Being cooped up in the house is the old me!

There is a app for smart phones and computer called MyFitnessPal download it and track everything it really works. I had to train myself to eat more than i did when I wasn't on a diet. It is actually not easy to eat all your calories in a healthy form 4 meals a day. You want to get your body in a calorie deficit without putting your body in starvation mode so you don't store fat. Cutting out coffee and sugar alone will make you drop fast. Good luck happy vaping.
