I've yet to see a vaper in the wild, so to speak. When we parked at a local Home Depot, Mr. Robin noticed one of those magnetized door panel ads on the car parked next to us when we came out, advertising an ecig I had never heard of. I really wanted to just hang out until the owner got back.

We went out Friday and I always stand my PV on the table as I get settled in. The hostess asked if that was one of those ecigs. We sat at the bar after dinner and it does make for a conversation starter. :D. People seem to all have a clue that it is an ecig even though it looks nothing like what is advertised on TV lately. I see tons of smokers yet no vapers. I'll keep looking though! ;)

Update! I found a great B&M in Chester, VA: Voltage Vapin'! Today, I was able to visit my first vape store! And, I found them here on ECF. Keep watching the threads!

I'm so glad you found Voltage Vapin'. I cannot say enough good things about them. The customer service is out of this world and the prices are very fair(about the same as a .com by the time you add shipping) I do not own, work at, or profit from Voltage Vapin' but when you see good people doing it right you have to support them to keep 'em around, so please, If your in the Richmond area give them a try. You wont regret it. Just so you know there is a second B&M in Richmond called Vapors lounge. I would advise you go there only as a last resort. There customer service is very poor and they mix there juice in-house which is "ok" at best.

I live in the greater Los Angeles area and I see vapers EVERYWHERE! On campus, outside restaurants, at the mall. The brick and mortar closest to where I live doesn't exactly always have a line but I'm never the only one there.

Grrr...jealous:p. So why are they hiding out in West L.A.? I live right on the border between WLA and Santa Monica, and, like my pal, Robin, I never see vapers in the wild, except those couple times I've ventured into the one ($$) b&m nearby in Westwood (doesn't count, if you ask me). Another forum pal, hottierockstar, did give me the heads up about this - http://www.vapetoberfest.com/program/session-schedule/all, though. Gonna be my first meet in 3 1/2 years of vaping :)facepalm:, I know). But that's not the same, either. Still honestly don't know why I see all these guilty-faced smokers outside on their smoke-breaks, all behind-the-times old school-like, you know:confused:?

I was just wondering what everyone has experienced in their local area.

Here where I am, we had one vapor store pop up. I decided that it was something that I wanted to try, so I went and got an ego kit. That was where it started for me..... although it has only continued to snowball...lol

But here is my point..... Now it seems like everyone is vaping. All of the sudden there are 5 vape stores in my town.... half the people at work vape to some extent, and I see people vaping everywhere I go.

It is spreading like wildfire here...... How about where you live???

I wish! Where are you man? Here on long island theres like 2 vapes stores within 40 miles.. the only vaping i see is cheap logic disposibles and people usually only try them and dislike them so they sort of give vaping a hopeless name :(

I see it pretty regular that's how I even found it truthfully. Kept seeing customers with odd devices and conversation sparked.

Called a local shop today about a backup vamo and they wanted 110 I hung the phone up. But they sounded hella busy giving it was 10 in the morning.

I know of three shops. One is a main store in one of our bigger casino. So defiantly getting big which might result to a bad thing by government standards.

I didn't mean to imply West L.A. I just mean General L.A. area.

No, no, you didn't make any such implication; in fact, you said "the greater Los Angeles area." I was just grousing about never seeing folks out here in the Westside:p. Cool to hear it's not the same throughout the city.

If I take the "where you live" literally then no: I live with 2 smokers & both have no interest in vaping. My favorite thing to do is to vape in places where they cannot smoke, when I am with them. At the restaurant & just finished a good meal? I start puffing away, they have to sit and watch. Can I borrow your lighter? Nope, don't have one suckers. Ran out of cigs? That sucks, suddenly I feel like vaping continuously right next to you. Fun times.

I'm in Romania, a country that belongs to a USSR-like entity (the EU). Of course, it's probably going to ban these things eventually (despite the fact that the EC said "we don't want to ban e-cigs"). There's no real hope for the whole vaping phenomenon to really take off here. On a positive note, I've seen some new vapers pop up around town.
