I lost my metric scale years ago in a move, and haven't been able to find it since. If no one else posts in the meantime, I'll pick one up next time I'm at the hardware store. I have a micrometer (decimal inches) if you want to convert sizes; just let me know.
Decimal would be great, I was thinking metric as it has a finer scale if no one had calipers. Most of the springs are listed as decimal.

edit: Thanks!!

Okay, some numbers.

Original stock spring:

Outside diameter: 0.300"

Overall uncompressed length: 0.725"

Wire diameter: 0.027" (this one was hard to measure with a micrometer without stretching the spring, but I was able to repeat it a couple times and it should be correct)

Outstanding Sir!! Thank you very much!

Edit: I'm thinking this would work well. Cut spring to desired length, drill out the bottom cup with an "S" bit and Ta-Daa - Bob's your Uncle!

This is closer but maybe a little weak as the wire is thinner.

Very nice showcase. I wish more members would do the same. I very much like your explanations. Please do more reports like this one.

Absolutely! Way better than the usual pic and a description saying 'hits like a freight train'. If I didn't overspend this month, I'd jump on it and get a brass spring or the brass screw mod. Probably next month. Thanks all for your insight, measurements, and sharing.

You're most welcome.

The first looks good, but the outside diameter might be an issue as you noted, at least without drilling. The OD does have a little room for play in the threads in the tube, though.

The second spring is probably better since the OD is correct within 3 thousandths. The wire size is only off by 7 thousandths and the material should more than make up for that.

Too bad they're only in lots of ten. $1.80 something per spring isn't bad at all, but I don't want ten silver-plated springs if they happen not to work well. Although my experiments with the brass spring show it reduces voltage drop quite a bit already, so this material (silver coated copper) is ideal.

I must have missed Don's post. Nice to know you guys liked it. I thought I was posting way too many pictures when I did it. :D

And don't forget about the low-voltage-drop 18490 mod. Honestly, a lot of people purchasing luxury mods for their voltage-drop characteristics would be surprised by this thing after that simple mod.

No slight ScW, great mod! Have a bucket of 350/650s, personally don't need to add another battery type collection :)

Seen quite a few unfortunately drop off the co-op due to this thread. These issues aren't unique to the Iseason, I feel any apv in this price range has many of the same exact issues that most don't realize. These simple mods takes it from a $50 apv to the performance of a $175+ apv.

That explains it. Thanks man!

I noticed a lot of people drop out too, but I just paid for it in the CO-OP based on SCW review. Looking forward to a project. Thanks for all the information guys!

Interesting that people would drop out based on numbers that are pretty much identical to the very popular Natural.

But again, I have no dog in this race -- I just think it's a great little mod. I like the way it's constructed without extraneous pieces and the switch is a very simple design.

I'd be curious what the copper/silver spring would do in this mod. Does anyone plan on ordering them?

I ordered a 10pk of the .345" dia. springs last night. (I prefer beefy) Even if I have to make two springs, one for the 18650's and one for the 18350's I will be fine with that. I'll let you know how it works out once the unit shows up.

Okay, sounds good. If it will thread in, you should be fine with one spring for both, but you may have to drill out it out to get that larger spring into the tube.

No rings, rainbowed button, and no spring. I can't handle it how it was, but im starting to like it now especially with this twisted 32g .6 ohm coil...clouds for days haha
