Sadly I have an issue with Gourmet Vapor. I've enjoyed playing around with the variety of flavors they offer for mixing and getting the taste you like.

I'm especially fond of almond, so I ordered it alone, and in several of my juices. Unfortunately, every juice made with almond tastes like it has rubbing alcohol in it. (just those juices! .. it's not me cleaning my equipment). It's so harsh it actually burns my tongue tasting it, and I can not vape it at all.

I've tried steeping them for about a week, but I haven't noticed that much of a change. Is there some reason anyone can think of as to why this is? Should I continue to steep and hope?

Almond as a flavoring tends to be bitter for a while. Did you get double or triple flavor? If so knock them down with pg/vg and let them steep with lids off for a few days shake well and test. Some butter and honey flavors also do this. One of mine with butter I diluted down to 1/2 and then added nic to my level, all good now.

I've switched off keeping the bottles open one day, and then closed the next. And shaken.

I guess I'll remove the tops completely because if it is alcohol in there, it needs to go. Just not sure why alcohol was in there in the first place.

Interestingly, this is the only vendor I have this issue with. My other almond flavors from other vendors have been fine. I hope they do eventually work out because for the most part Gourmet Vapor has been pretty good to me.

Alcohol is a common carrier for flavorings. You usually don't find them in e-liquid, but I've found they use these types when looking at their flavoring list. Leave the top open and shake daily for 3 or 4 days, and you should be good.

Ok, this is what I'm going to do. The tops are coming off completely. Hope it saves them - /crossing fingers

Let us know if it works. I'm going to contact them today and see if they'll make things right for me. I ordered 10 bottles during their sale 3 weeks ago, and every single one of them is disgustingly flowery. I think they screwed up the mix somehow. If this is what all of these different flavors are supposed to taste like, then I won't be ordering from them in the future no matter how cheap they sell it. I have a good feeling they'll make things right, though.

Same thing happened to me. I contacted them and they resent the juice...the second time around they were better, and even better yet after steeping a good while. They definitely are willing to make things right which was reassuring. Seems that they may have had some issues w/ the batches made during that vapefest sale, I think mine were almost pure flavoring...smelled/tasted like nail polish remover! But second batch didn't have that smell or taste.

Good luck!

It took a few days and 2 emails, but gv is making things right. They offered to replace all of my juices, plus threw in double flavor at no extra charge. After dealing with their customer service representative, I'm confident they are going to make me happy. Now, what do I do with all those yicky bottles? What's the best way to clean them out so I can re-use them?

:(I received 6 bottles of juice from Strictly E-Juice and Gourmet Vapor. I am discouraged with all of them. I have noticed a bad alcohol taste in the licorice from Strictly E-Juice and the Tasty Menthol from Gourmet Vapor. I feel I have to vape them anyway because I can't be spending all this money.

I understand how you feel, had the same experience...my recommendation would be to put them away for a couple weeks if you have some other juice to fall back on in the meantime, then revisit them once they've had time to steep. The chemical/alchohol smell died down a lot with mine after that time period. They were totally vapable for me w/in about 3-4 weeks, but a good two weeks should help.

Steeping didn't help. Also, revisiting some of my other flavors I got there, a few of them also taste the same way. Stinging alcohol.

This order was also a replacement order for another order they had messed up on me. I can contact them, but I don't want a credit. I won't be doing business there anymore. The people are nice enough ... it's just the lack of consistency in their flavors, and actually getting the flavors I order is too much of a struggle. Meh. I seriously doubt they will issue me a full refund, and I won't give these flavors away ..... so /shrug?

The juices I received from there had a very strong perfume odor and taste. I couldn't vape them. Made me want to spit it out and I couldn't. I let them steep for a month with caps on and off. Nothing helped. I dumped 30mL of e-juice down the drain and haven't visited their site since.

Now I understand they their actual gourmet flavors are good and consistent. But I have so many other suppliers that I like and have had success with that I see no reason to go here again.
