I have never had a problem with Gourmet at all. In fact, they are my favorite juice vendor. Yes, the longer they steep the better, but it's just too hard to be patient sometimes.

I just got my first order from Backwoods but I've made a pact with myself not to touch it for a good month or longer. i think once you try something that's not ready to be vaped it's set in your head that it will be bad from then on. I don't want to have that experience with my Backwoods.

I only order the unflavored nicotine base. I tried the flavors and they were okay but not wow...I did get the increase in mucous production from their juice. BTW I still have some from December....should be steeped but IDK about vaping it...the only one I liked was the salem, newport and apple menthol. I did not detect any alcohol in the fluid...

>>> just a FYI here .... you guys are all pretty new to vaping & what I found was @ about 2-3 months in, is when everything tasted off/bad or I could not taste any of it at all & it seemed to come in waves ....no flavor for a week, then the next week everything was way to strong or just weird . I still go thru this, just not as often or as long now .

The first few months of being away from cigs your taste buds will be repairing/actually replacing themselves over and over .

This might be whats up w/your juices ?? Might NOT be ? It may NOT be the juice at all .....
Just sayin' it is a possibility & just another reason to put them away for awhile & revisit them later.

I have ordered from GV 3 x's & usually try to ignore them a few weeks before trying them, even tho the 2nd time I got into them immediately & they were all fine ...they were better a few weeks later.

It's a hard concept to get used to ...but it seems to be true !

So the answer is ............... YES! Steep & Hope !

Kelleymcm, I hear what you're saying. But, the stuff I got was well beyond the need to steep. Every other juice I've gotten from every other vendor was at least in some way identifiable. This batch was not. You couldn't tell blueberry from coffee cream from peanut butter cup. They all had a nasty flavor and aroma, something obnoxious like petchouli (spelling?) oil. I opened them again today, and they have not changed one bit. I'm not sure when my replacement bottles will arrive, but I'm willing to bet they won't be anything at all like these. The arrival of those new bottles is keeping me from spending more money at bwb. All of my savings on vaping are going to BWB. :)

I think this is an excellent point. However, many of us are so new to vaping that we don't have an acquired stash yet and so must use them sooner, rather than later.

I had problems with GV...

Ordered three flavors, Double Flavor Seattle Blend, Double Flavor Lime Rickey, Triple Flavor Icedogs Jumpoff Juice (Apricot Menthol), plus a 60ml bottle of their no flavor 36mg PG nic juice.

First, it took them about two weeks to get me my order even though they are a 4 hr drive from here (other end of the state). They forgot to pack my 36mg nic juice. Called them, lady answered coughing and sniffing and sounding pretty sick. She apologized and sent it out, got it 3 days later (why did it take so long for the initial order?).

Second, with regard to the flavored juices.
Seattle Blend (double flavor): Almost black in color. Seemed to be about the right amount of flavor when cut 50/50, but I could not really taste anything coffe like about it. Mixed with some mocha just to make it usable.

Lime Rickey (double flavor): Almost black in color. WAY TOO STRONG!! Had to cut this to less than 1/4 just to make the lime flavor bearable, any stronger any it made me cough a lot and made my tongue sore. I like the grape flavoring though.

Icedogs Jumpoff Juice (Apricot Menthol - Triple Flavor): Was really looking forward to this one. Color was good, slightly orangish. Flavor was absolutely not up to par for a triple flavor juice. Even uncut straight from the bottle this stuff barely had enough taste to meet what I would consider adequate for normal strength juice. Only a hint of apricot and menthol, I liked it, but not nearly strong enough to justify the extra charge for extra strength juice.

I emailed their customer service to ask why the coloring was so dark and if it was possible to get it with little or no coloring as dark coloring usually lead to early atomizer death or at the least more required cleaning (clear or nearly clear juices are best). I also asked why the huge variation in flavor strength. That was about a month ago and I have not gotten a response from them.

Their website is OK, but it really lacks everything that a retail site should have. The site actually reminds me of a cheap blog site with order placement capabilities. There is little to no information about the company itself and they have no store-front location. I'm pretty sure this is a small operation, probably run out of someone's house in Brigham City, UT. This would account for the poor customer service and apparent lack of quality control. They aren't really a legitimate business. I won't be ordering from them again. Hopefully I can find another quality vendor that has the flavor selection and extra strength options I need for cutting with non-flavored juice (makes it cheaper).

I placed an order with them today during their awesome 50% off sale (my second...to re-order 3 flavors I really like, plus some plain nic juice). Have already gotten confirmation that my order has shipped. This is identical to my experience with them two weeks ago.

My re-order juices were Maiden Coffee, Mocha Smoke, and Perique Blackberry. I have found their service and their juices to be very good. Not disputing the naysayers, but my personal experience has been very very different.

Gourmet Vapor is a good vendor w/ excellent customer service.

I always jump on their 50% off sales like they have now. (code: my50)

BigIceddog's lemonade is by far one my favorite juices. I was getting low on it, so I ordered another 30ml bottle.

I've noticed that adding extra flavor makes the juice a lot different to the point where I don't like it.

I received my replacement flavors on Friday, sat down and tried them all. Overall, they are much better than the first batch I got. All of the flavors are identifiable as what is on the label. Some will obviously be great once they've steeped. Some are just flavors I should've never chosen. And after I finished them all, I couldn't wait to get my bwb espresso back on my pv. Ahhhh....
i will revisit them in a week or two and I am certain there will be some keepers and some for me to take to my first venture into the PIF forum. For the $25 I spent, I'll chalk it up as a learning experience. I just don't like fruity or minty flavors. And now I know.
