I have been using the Triton for a couple of months now and have not had any issues until now. I am getting dry hits on my purple tanks. I have replaced the coils many times and with in the last 2 weeks, it seems like I am getting a lot of dry hits. I will unscrew the tip on them and then it will vape like new for a few hits then I will get dry hits again. My pink tanks which I have had the same amount of time and used the same amount of time are not doing this. Like I said I have replaced the coil several times and even with a new coil it's doing this. Anyone have any ideas as to why. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Clean your tank with vodka or rubbing alcohol, let dry thoughly, ( I use a air compressor to blow it out) and try again. Sounds like you have some contaminates in the tank.

Nope, it's not contaminates.

I get dry hits every once in awhile. It's working great, you set it down, pick it back up, hit the button and no vapor what so ever. Not even the sizzling sound of activation.

I'm pretty sure it's the coil contact on the center post needing to be reset in order to fire.

Carefully unscrew the tip 1/8 of a turn until you see the coil turn with it (this can be done with the tank on the battery), then re-tighten the tip and it will reset the coil position. 9 times out of 10 if will fire right back up. :)

It fires every time and I get vapor, the taste is just the nasty dry hit taste. I will try cleaning the tanks better. I have just been rinsing them out and putting on a new coil. I rewick my coils, so anytime I put in a clean coil, it has a new wick in it. Like I said my other tanks are not doing this. I thought it might be my rewicking skills but the other tank is fine and I've used several coils that I have rewicked on it as well.

Are you changing both wicks? The bottom wick needs to be threaded inside the coil not placed on top. Usually just cleaning them works fine for me. I only change them when they start to fray.

I have 1 tank, that the alignment of the center post is off, so every time i unscrew the tip, it catches the top of the coil and unscrews the coil significantly in comparision to other Triton Tanks I own.....

....SOOOO if i forget to grab the coil condom(plastic sleeve) and really tighten it back on to the post, after refilling, but before screwing back on the mouth piece, the coil does not have enough contact with the center post to get power. Thus the battery lights but no vaporizing occurs.

When you look at the tank, it is not noticable that this is occuring.

--edited cause i fail at spelling and grammar, and sometimes i just aint so clear :)

This happens to me as well. I try to remember to tighten the post once I've refilled.

If by Dry Hit, you are saying the coil isn't firing/not getting power? It sounds like a contact/electrical issue. Remember, the triton tank has several grommets that seal the juice as well as insulate the 2 conductors. If you screw something down too tight, it squeezes the grommets and could cause the problem.

The tank to battery should never be tight, you should be able to unscrew it with one hand. And don't go gonzo on the coil to centerpost either.

Look close, I mean really close with a magnifyer at the bottom button. Is the grommet peeking out one side?

It must be a problem with the centerpost and tank body, since you say you have used those coils on the other tank. Let us know...

I know it's been a while since I posted this but I believe I have found the problem. I had switched from 18 mg to 12 mg and I finally realized that 12 just wasn't cutting it for me. I just switched back to 18 and waalaa my problem went away. So my take on it is this, I was chain vaping and hitting it harder at 12mg than what I did at 18 to try and make up for the lack of nicotine. I've tried to pay close attention to my vaping today being back at 18mg and I am vaping less and I'm not taking as big of drags nor am I taking them as close together. Anyhow just wanted to share.
