i'm no modder...but i know this question has arisen before about the buttons accidentally being pressed while in a pocket or elsewhere.

for some reason i thought about war movies where the "buttons" for blowing up the world are in those little flip-top protectors. anyone thought about using those? it would add some bulk i guess, but would solve the problem and maybe make it a little...cooler. like that button REALLY matters ;)

or, it's late, and i just need sleep.

i didn't dig heavily into it, but just found a quick example. i'm sure these types of lids have to be readily available SOMEWHERE.

I think it's asking for the cover to break off at the hinge. Recessed buttons are the way to go, IMHO... and I love how the Prodigy design has a raised edge around the recessed button as well. You'd have to have something press directly on the button to get it to fire. It's not perfect, but it's the closest I've seen.

Just unscrew the battery about one turn which is enough to break the contact. Problem solved for free. On some models like the SD you would unscrew the atomizer.
