Hoping you guys have some ideas here. Friend of mine brought me his king mod because it was not firing correctly and hitting like a newborn. Fixed some friends mods in the past so yeah sure no biggy. Well im stumped. Ive cleaned the .... out of this thing, rebuilt it about five times top to bottom. Tried multiple batts and attys. All the same thing. It will fire but very very poorly. Any ideas?

Change the spring maybe?
The spring carries a load when you fire the mod.
If the spring is having conductivity issues, that could be the problem.

Otherwise clean all the threads really well, inspect threads where contacts are installed, and re do all the usual cleaning stuff.
There are only so many things that can cause the drop, so go slowly and eliminate each area of concern until it hits properly.

I have soaked and cleaned the thing head to toe. For being a year old it looks about brand freakin new now. Changing the spring i have not done. I didnt think the king mods spring carried load with the way it is designed with the threaded pin in that tube. Ill try that though.

It's the only thing I can think of. Te king is a solid design and a good device.
The switch makes contact in other places but the spring is carrying current.
If its dark colored or slightly blued its the spring.
Springs aren't a precision product so ymmv from piece to piece.
I have 4 kings and 3 chi-yous, and I've swapped a spring to solve hot button issues.

Im just throwin out some ideas.
