Issues with new WOW Blanks?!?

I've been having problems with a new pack of WOW blanks I got a week or so ago. After filling them with ~20 drops (~1ml) of any flavor/strength of various WOW liquids I have, they are only lasting about 15 drags before having the burnt filler material taste. These are BRAND NEW NEVER USED CARTS - WTF?!? It doesn't matter if I'm using them on short, regular, or XL batteries (all autos) - or even my USB pass-thru (also auto) - it's the same thing.

The only thing I can figure is that whatever is up affected the whole batch. It's kind of like the wicking part of the material through the wire coil is not effectively wicking/sucking the juice into it from the rest of the material to vaporize. That's what it seems like to me.

Anyone else having an issue like this?!?

Just talked to my buddy and he's having the same problem with his new ones, as well.

I opened a ticket with support. I'll update if I find anything out.

sounds like a wick issue. You might be able to fix it on your own, I forget how they said to do it. I think Bobby had a fix for it if memory serves.

My point though, is at 3 bucks a piece, I shouldn't HAVE to fix anything...they should just work...

They may be, sorta kinda. They still don't take kindly to 3.7 volts and above, particularly if you vape steady/heavy, but they are much improved over the previous 3 versions.

I had EXACTLY the same problem with WOW blanks I received about two weeks ago. Since it was my first time filling blank carts, I assumed it was something I did wrong. I'd appreciate knowing what Support says.

+1 Leeshor, I've read the same thing on the CE2.4's along with hassle issues when it comes to refilling them. When the day comes that the CE2s have all the bugs worked out, we'll be able to buy them from V4L.

Hey Chad,
We have had this same problem. We ordered 2 boxes of WOW blank carts and both boxes were bad. We filled them by using the condom method with the Taryn spin (as shown by Leaford). No matter what flavor we put into them, they had a burnt taste to them. I had put in a ticket to Customer service about the bad carts (also asking about liquids tasting different than the carts and some of our batteries which seem to be the original shorty batteries with the center post problem) and the response I received was this:
"What method do you use to fill your cartomizers? How many drops of liquid do you put in?
The reason the flavors may taste a little different compared to the prefilled ones is because when you fill a cart and use it the juice was just put in there. When you use a prefilled cart the juice has been sitting in there. It is a similar situation with canned, from the fountain, plastic bottled and glass bottled pop. As for the WOW smilin and Premium smilin the liquid of the WOW and Premium Liquid are different. They are manufactured by two different manufacturers. The WOW liquid seems to be more accurate. Kind of like Coke and Pepsi.
As for those batteries the problem seems to exist when having two different type of shorties. If you have one battery with the smaller center hole and one with the larger center hole and you switch carts between the two it can cause this problem. The fix should be applied to the cartomizers not the battery.

I wonder if it's a filling issue. I've noticed that they really, really need more than the 18 drops. I usually fill a new WOW blank with at least 28 drops, and the cool carts with closer to 36, and that has worked for me.

I usually get about 24-26 drops in a Wow Blank the first time... and about 32-34 in a CoolCart the first time.

Then, I top up regularly to keep it from ever going dry.

We filled our WOW blanks with approximately 24-26 drops of liquid. I filled one with Cherries Jubilee, one with Peach, and one with WOW Cherry Cordial; all of these tasted burnt off the start. Not like the burnt taste you get when a cart is cashed, a different kind of burnt. They didn't have the taste of the liquids at all. With me, it is definitely not a filling issue. I have had no problem re-filling my WOW cherry cordial carts or my Smilin Special Menthol carts.

Ok, so in my replacements, I received some WOW blanks and some CoolCart blanks. I filled a CoolCart with 1+ml of my favorite 24mg WOW Cafe Mocha and let it set for a few minutes to wick and all I got was burnt wick - no flavor. Arrrgghhh...I've lost so much juice to bad carts lately...I'm about ready to throw it all out - maybe some kind of atomizer/drip tip would be better?!?

And as for fill method, I pop the mouthpiece and drip directly into the filler material, 20+ drops, at a 45* angle, while rotating the cart, standing on my head, singing kumbayah, yada, yada, yada...you know...just in case someone thought I might not've been filling them correctly
