i got my istick 50w and im loving it so far. i have it paired up with a subtank mini and its truly a whole new vaping experience for me. anyways every once in awhile, say every 20-30 hits. i notice after fireing for about a second it cuts off and then back on, but only for prob half a second and then starts right back up for as long as i want. it also doesnt seem to reset the puff timer either.

is this a defect or is their some other reason its doing this? im used to vaping at 11 watts max so this 24 watts @ .5ohms is new to me. could it be a bad coil? overheat protection? something else? i do have other coils that i could try but i dont really want to gunk them up just yet if there isnt a need to.

edit: actually it looks like the puff timer is resetting when it happens.

You're slipping off the fire button, I've noticed this too. I'm coming from the 20 & 30 and the 50 definitely takes more pressure to click the fire button than I'm used to from the previous isticks. I think I've noticed it happens mostly if I'm pushing the button more from the side than straight on.

i was thinking that too but im not so sure. im gonna have to pay close attention to how im fireing it and see if thats the case. i did notice though that i was laying down earlier vaping and it was doing it more than usual, im sitting back up and it hasnt done it for awhile. so maybe it is the problem.

i really hope it is something as simple as that, i dont feel like dealing with a return.

i guess im just extra paranoid because of the past istick problems and i never buy something as soon as it comes out.

No problem, I hope that's all it is. I noticed that because of how I hold it naturally (right handed, thumb firing) I tend to hit the button with my thumb angled (45° angle) so sometimes I ease pressure without realizing it but I'll hear it cut out and turn back on once I reapply pressure to the button. I experimented with it for a while and realized that was my problem. Doesn't happen when I press the button straight on though (90° angle)

im sure thats what it is. it hasnt done it again since ive changed my method. and for anyone thinking this is a big deal...its not. really it was barely noticeable. i just freaked out a bit thinking the switch was faulty and it would stop working in a couple days. im actually going to go back to not paying attention now, since it really didnt bother me.
