    I'd read this

    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/variable-voltage-apv-discussion/601111-eleaf-istick.html

    and this

    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...discussion/603447-will-make-mvp-obsolete.html

I own a MVP2 and an SVD, am looking for my next purchase to be either an istick, MVP3 or SVD 2.0.

The istick looks good, but would remind me of my SVD with the 33.3hrz chip Edit; not proven yet (not as good as the MVP).

None of my current devices have failed me, so I'm going to wait.

    Oh, BTW

Pros; Smaller, girlish, pocket/purse friendly, stealth, could be inexpensive, has a 6 month warranty at least one site.

Cons; Unable to under-power (or whatever it's called Edit; "step-down"), no usb charging port, small deck so big atty tanks overhang, unproven, people loosing their mind over this, so you have to fight like heck or go to eBay to get one.

    Let us know.

I'll wait little more for solid reviews on iStick...with Eleaf introducing value line for 20 watts, expect others to follow. It also really depends what kind of topper you're going to put on either devices...so you have ask yourself will need more than 11 watts (MVP 2.0 limit)?

For my Kanger aero mini, the MVP works great with 1.5 ohm coil..but I need 16 watts for Kayfun lite, and now my Eleaf Lemo...and the only regulated device I use with with RDAs is my Cloupor Cana 30 watter ...rest is mechs. But it's pretty cool that regulated devices are making big major leaps and bounds this year.

Here are two good videos, explaining how to optimize the use of your regulated devices

No one's posted yet on what the PWM rate of the istick is yet. I'll be able measure when I get one next week.

The istick goes to 20W, the MVP only to 11W. Which actually doesn't matter to me, I use 9 to 10W only. I want the stick mostly due to the smaller size and lighter weight.

The safest course is to go with the tried and true MVP2 right now, and wait for more reviews on the istick.

I measured the PWM rate of the iStick at 48.5 Hz, about 50% faster than the 33.3 Hz of the Vamo.

great price can be found on both of these. I say get um both

That's exactly what I did K! Both of them are awesome. I find myself using the istick a tad more for two reasons...the fire button placement- although it doesn't by any means lessen the quality of the MVP 2, I just can't get used to it being in the center of the device. Secondly, the size of the istick is perfect! Not to mention I love where the fire button is located. On the side opposed to the center. That being said, toss a Aspire Nautilus (bvc) on top of either, and you have an outstanding Vape coming your way! I really enjoy them both!

I decided against the iStick for now until I can get confirmation of how well/poorly it handles low voltage/wattage. I rarely go over 6 or 6.5W on the VV v3 or MVP, and it sounds like it may not handle the lower range well.

That said, it is smaller, lighter and is supposed to have an easier to push button than the MVP. The button is really only an issue for folks with small and/or damaged hands, but for us it is a major minus for the MVP.

Until the IStick is tested by someone it is just another Chinese play on the vv/vw market. Pulsing is the reason we have a Pro-Vari.
Also have a Vamo but it has been put in the NO MORE file.

I agree and i have never been a bandwagon jumper , i stay with the tried and true and the MVP is an exceptional mod . I know if taken care of the MVP will last a long time , i can't say that about the Istick.

I also experience by best vapes at wattages well below 20 watts , actually around 8.5 to 10 watts works great with everything from the Nautilus to the Kangertank's .

The MVP runs such a flat signal that it's vape quality is superior to a lot of other mods , so close in fact to a Provari that a number of verteran's in the "ask the verterans" forum agreed with this statement :

IMHO the MVP is very close to a Provari in vape quality

I have never owned an MVP but I have owned an itaste vv3...the 11 watt version and I can give you a comparison of the two. This might be useless if the MVP vape is totally different, but I am going to assume that the MVP and VV3 have similar build quality.

Vape quality: Both were similar at the same wattage but it felt sliiightly warmer on an eleaf than on the itaste at similar wattage, or it could be a placebo effect. I cant directly compare right now which will be explained in the next point.

Build Quality: The usb port broke on my itaste. I knew this would happen from the minute I plugged it in the 1st day. The whole mod just wrecked of cheapness from the extreme rattling of the buttons and the iffy usb port feel. The usb port felt extremely unrefined when plugging it in. Unrefined turned to days when I didnt plug it in at the perfect angle, it would not charge, to finally dying. The eleaf usb port feels sooo much better. It has that samsung/iphone usb port quality feel to it, as in, it firmly catches with no play. This is HUGE in terms of importance, because it isnt a replaceable battery, and if your usb port is crap and dies, there goes your whole mod.

Looks: This is all preference. I am in the boat that smaller is better. 2200mah stealth vape all day. One con, is that 22mm mods will hang over it so if you have OCD, this will bug you. Some people prefer something larger, and if thats the case, the mvp might be better.

    .

Underpower is achieved by turning it into voltage mode, then you can step up or down as much as you like. USB on the bottom. The deck is designed for small disposable tanks so it's normal they'll overhang a little.
