Hi everyone, I'm new as a user, but a long time quiet reader. I started vaping in April, 2012 and still going with it. Before I was a heavy smoker 1-2 packs a day and vaping made my life so much better. I would never go back.

I decided to participate in some of the discussions and maybe help out new vapers here and there. Since the forum requires 5 posts first, here's my first. :)

Sevarin,

Glad to hear (read) that you are an experienced vaper - I'm relatively new to this. I was a long time smoker (20+ years) and decided to quit this year. Lasted almost an entire month cold turkey, but all I could think about was that darn cigarette. My daughter took me down to a local vapor shop and helped me pick out a decent mod to help me. Started vaping and haven't looked back.

Best Regards,

Thank you all for the warm welcome, I appreciate it :)

@Susan~S : My daily vape equipment at the moment is A Sigelei 100W and the Kanger Subtank Mini (modded). Sometimes the Lemo 2. I just prefer the flavor on the Subtank Mini over the Lemo 2. Besides the Lemo 2 leaks sometimes, haven't put an effort into why that is, yet. I'm patiently awaiting my IPV4 black pre-order. But I'm in no rush, the Sigelei works just fine. And if I need TC, I use my Vaperflask. And no, I don't really have any important questions at the moment, just wanted to give my 2 cents on some threads here. But thank you for asking :)

@Freedom2Vape : Stick with it, it's so much better and I'm sure your family appreciates your effort :)

Forgot, I also try to convince as many friends as I possibly can to start vaping and give up smoking. Since I have so much stuff here, I usually give them a good deal on an older setup of mine. So far I got 4 people vaping and one of them already quit altogether. I just enjoy vaping so much, I don't see myself quitting, even if I hit the 0mg level. At the moment I'm at 6mg, I started out with 24mg.

Welcome to the forum!
Just curious, what do you mean by a "modded" sub-tank Mini? Are you using the RBA? What ohm build? I'm finding anything less than 1 ohm is way too hot for my taste.
I found a video on youtube by accident, that showed two little holes drilled into opposite sites in the RBA section. I tried it out with a really tiny hole first, then I opened it a little more and now it's perfect. Every time I take a hit, I get the full, fully saturated vape and flavor from it. Running it with a 26g 7 wrap 3.5 mm spaced coil (0.7 ohm) at 28 Watts and chain vape the tank empty without problem. :)

And no leaking either, the holes basically sit right in front of the cotton on the side of the RBA.

Here's the video, which probably explains it better:

Just another noob as well! Stoked to be here. I feel like if I try to get info from other vapers in person it's like I'm asking for their SS#! Hopeful to learn a lot!
That's strange. All the vapors that I know are usually very helpful and friendly. Why wouldn't they?

Thanks, Sevarin. The family is pleased that I quit the analogs. My brother is concerned that I appear to vape a lot more than I smoked, but I'm not sure that is really accurate. I would frequently smoke 2-3 cigarettes each time I went out. So while it may appear that I vape more since I don't go outside as much, it works out to about the same - and I'm not getting all the garbage that the analogs had.
I was thinking about getting the Lemo 2, but decided that building the Squape R looked easier (and it is an easy build). I just wish that it was easier to tell how much juice you had left in the tank.

Best Regards,
