Not saying its right or wrong. More often than not - vaping gets a bad image because some azz hat in a bar, restaurant, etc is blowing huge plumes with the attitude of " well it's not smoking and vaping isn't expressly not allowed here".

I've never had an issue vaping places because I dont advertise what I'm doing. I keep it low key, am observant of where my vapors are wafting, and pick/choose appropriate times and areas. I vape in airports, on flights, court buildings, daughters basketball game, work, chicago bars, you name it. I'll continue to do so.

My son works for Staples,,,,,,,he's had to deal with more than one angry vaper who thinks he/she has the right to blow huge plumes of vapor in the faces of everyone else shopping.

Democrats, please sign the petition urging the party to go with science not ideology:

http://www.change.org/petitions/dem...science-over-ideology-regarding-e-cigarettes?

I have signed... Combine this with the Democratic supported effort to import massive numbers of temporary, foreign tech workers while two million US engineers remain unemployed or underemployed and Republicans even begin looking like the lessor of two evils. However, the fact remains, this is not OUR government -- this is a government controlled by corporate and moneyed interests.

The right to blow huge plumes in people's faces. Man, that's good. Thank goodness there are none of those type of vapers here on ECF.

Actually it is your government. 14 Democrats and 1 Republican on the LA City Council. Evidently the Democrats are getting more from the 'corporate and moneyed interests' than the Republicans. Funny.... it's supposed to be the other way around, right?

And yet the vote was unanimous. The Republican did not dissent.

Didn't say he did. Englander is a bit of a RINO - "is a member of the Wildlife and Endangered Species Committee of the Angeles Chapter of the Sierra Club; and numerous other civic, environmental, philanthropic, and public safety activities."

Sure; but he still voted yes. We've also had other Republicans in the state introduce e-cig bans as well, like the mayor of La Mesa. They haven't voted on that yet. By and large it's Democrats (which pains me) but the Republicans here aren't stepping up in defense either.

This WILL shake out - it shouldn't even be a partisan issue but it seems like these days there is no other kind of issue.

Ideally, neither party's members should be taking anything from the corporate and moneyed interests.

I knew what the vote was. And no different statewide either:

Claiming kids and teens have easy access to tobacco and electronic cigarettes, Assemblyman Roger Dickinson (D-Sacramento) is introducing a bill blocking people from buying both on the Web.
