and I am an FIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE. This is seriously amazing. I've had a slight urge for an analog a few times, but I think that was more out of habit than anything and I overcame it easily. I'm chain vaping ... but that's OK.

For 3 days I still smoked a few analogs while becoming acquainted with my PV (got in on Thursday) and wasn't rushing myself, but when I finished my last one in the pack last night I decided I wasn't going to buy another pack.

Every time I've tried to quit before, by now I would be pacing, shaking, exhibiting flu-like symptoms and wanting to kill (even with the patch or gum). I'm sure you all know that drill.

I realize it's only been a day, but I'm going to pat myself on the back regardless (and also knock on wood).
THIS IS A BIG DEAL.

I can't thank you all enough for being so cool and helpful to an absolute newb with a whole lot of questions.

Congrats on your first day.

Keep going, drink lots of water, get some back up and some more back ups. I keep 3 batteries, 8 attys, 15 different juices just so that I won't go back to smoking. And your taste changes and you may not be able to taste your juice. So get different flavors that you may enjoy and all the best to you!

Cheers.

Excellent news. You are doing a great job.

After 6 months vaping, I bought a pack of cloves, just to see what it was missing... It was not a good experience at all. I honestly was appalled I was ever hooked on those.

Experiment with juices and atomizers and you'll find lots of fun ways to vape.

Sent from my mobile. Ignore typos please.

I remember how it felt my first 24hrs....been only like 96ish for me...you WILL get over the urge to have an analog

Good thing to learn is not hit your e-cig like an analog...no more long hard lungs full of smoke, you want to hit your e-cig like a pipe or a choo choo train, short fast puffs...

Keep it up...you can make it! I have!

Ah.....what's the ONLY 24 hours deal???? That' amazing for a former smoker!!!!! You should be very proud of yourself. :toast: I assume you are getting the proper amount of nicotene, the other part is the mind f...., your brain is so used to a certain routine and it's crying out loud. Hit the vape....chain vaping at the beginning is almost a requirement. Get through some days and they will add up and the smell of an ashtray or a heavy smoker will turn your stomach. Great job and vape on.

Congrats RobinBanks!

I'm not quite off of the stinkies yet, but I'm working on it. I tried it back in 2011 and fell off the wagon because of a move. I'm starting up on the vaping again. I have a new vendor that I like and I can't wait to be free of cigarettes. I've been familiarizing myself with vaping again and it's still hard after meals, first thing in the morning, and just before bed NOT to smoke. I think I'm going to try some stronger juice and hit those during the hardest times.

You are back on the right road....give yourself a break...you deserve it. It's not the ones you smoke it's the ones you don't. vape on

Hahaha you have a point. I guess I just don't want to jinx myself... but after 20 years of smoking, 24 hours is a big milestone =) I *think* I'm getting enough nicotine. I've made myself a little dizzy a couple times, but the advice is noted =)

Give us some more details, how much did you smoke, what brand?? What are you using, what flavor??? Don't be afraid to lean...we've all been there.

Oh my goddness. I Have spent an absurd amount...I haven't saved any money. My husband is doing this too, so between the two of us..lol lots of $$$. I'm ok with it though. I know that at some point it will make up for it. Right now I'm in the "whatever gets you through" mode.

Congrautlations!
