I dropped my KR808D-1 from VaporSmiths right into the coffee cup.

The connection didn't get wet, battery went about halfway in, "lit" side first.

It hasn't stopped glowing blue since. (This was about 2 hours ago.)

Will it survive?

(Lesson learned about putting coffee cup right next to my box o vaping goodies... called Kath's box-o-fun around the house.):2cool:

    in a cave, eh?
Is that a question or some kinda contest like "Will It Blend"?

I imagine the blue will go away when the battery wears down. I haven't tried this, but you might try running the battery under a hair dryer to evaporate any liquid that might have gotten into the electronics. You probably want to be extra careful not to try charging the battery again until it has dried out for 48 hours or so.

Liquid in your electronics can cause a short. Your battery should be dry before you try using it again.

    Good luck.

LOL. My favorite is "Will it float?" with David Letterman.

To the best of my understanding (which should probably be verified): definitely leave it to dry completely as long as you can stand to wait, and be sure you are somewhere you can monitor the battery during charging, if you attempt that. I would keep it at room temperature the next few days (though a cool blow dry would probably be good for it/speed that up). It may very well be dead by this time of the day, but batteries generally don't like heat any more than they like water. I'm guessing you could also potentially mask any heat the battery might be making on it's own if you blew dried it. I'm pretty sure li-ion has issues causing it to get hot during deep discharge (and this is one of the protective circuit functions). Hopefully it is still functional enough to still be protected, but you can't trust wet circuitry.

You might try tapping lightly on a hard surface to see if that light will go out - I've had lights stuck on from a dry drop :)

Let us know (in a few days) if it makes it. Good luck!

But use instructions and your own risk

Before talking about using alcohol to clean electronics and computer equipment, there are a couple of warnings you should be aware of. First of all, make sure your equipment is off and unplugged. Secondly, you do not need a rag saturated in alcohol as it just needs to be damp. A tiny bit of alcohol goes a very long way so you do not need to spray it on electronics or computer equipment. Finally, try to use a microfiber or dust free cloth for this type of equipment and it would be best if you wore cotton clothing when dealing with electronics so as to avoid damaging the equipment with static electricity.

You can clean anything from your computer monitor to the digital displays on home entertainment equipment as well as the display of your televisions and electronic picture viewers. Isopropyl alcohol should be used frequently for cleaning your phones, including your cell phones to both sanitize and keep them clear of dirty finger prints and smudges. After your usual method of dusting your keyboards, simply wipe the keyboard with your alcohol cloth and you will not only keep it sparkling clean you will avoid spreading germs if it is used by multiple members of your household or office.

I cleaned it, spun it, put it in rice for two days.

I charged it this morning... all was well, it fully charged. As soon as I pulled it from the charger, the "ash" light lit. I tried to vape with it, no issues, it vapes fine.

The ash light just stays lit, though.

I re-swabbed the ash light area with more alcohol and rinsed with a q-tip... and put it back in the rice.

    We shall see.

smooth move with the rice, as its a natural dessicant.

i dropped my manual batt into crystal light once. taryn spun it and it works just fine.

my girlfriend dropped one of her auto batts in the toilet. i gave it a alc rinse, taryn spun it, then placed it in a packet of dessicant from a new pair of sneakers overnight. batt works good as new.

taryn spin + dessicant is my offical go-to liquid remedy.
