So, I built and vaped the Hussar with no aid (well, I did watch a tutorial) but no cliffnotes or husband, :) My coil is ugly, my wicking is probably sub-par, but it works, it doesn't leak, and I am thrilled!

I said it was ugly....

But, I really enjoy the vape:

The tank itself is NOT ugly, I really like it a lot. A wee bit airy but I have a feeling once I re-look up how to get myself in TC mode, too tired LOL, it's going to be a lot of fun!

I believe it's a clone... You'd have to ask @Izan, he provided a link, and I just bought it from 3F or 3V, wherever it's called. It came in a box that said Hussar vapes, but it was really inexpensive. It was the single post deck, and the tank looks to be about 3 or 4 ml. He was also super correct in thinking this would've been a better place to start, LOL.

Practice makes perfect, it won't be long and you will be a coil master;)

Heartsdelight, yes, I got it from 3F. I have to say for the price I was really impressed with the build quality, it's lovely. And the tank size is great also... It arrived nicely packaged and of course I washed it but there really wasn't any machining oil to wash off...

Anna
Did it come with 1 or 2 PC tanks along with the SS tank? Thanks :)

From little acorns big oaks grow.

I NEVER wanted to rebuild but was SICK AND TIRED of an inconsistent vape from my SubTank Nano. One coil vaped like a dream. Another had dry hits, and another popped and spit juice in my mouth.

I watched Rip Trippers Vid on rebuilding the OCC coil heads and thought "I can do that " and for tge first time i had a consistent vape..

Then i wanted more airflow abd went RDAs.

I liked rdas but hated the dripping and leaks i moved over to RTAs and been there ever since

I have some attys abd coil heads for them but they are stashed for when i can't build any more.

That HAS to be true, LOL. I wrapped a spaced SS 3.0 gage 8 wrap coil and it wasn't pretty, I was merely thrilled that it approximated the wattage I was going for (1.22-- I was going for a 1.0 coil) and that it wasn't deformed enough to not be able to feed the wick through it. It's also slightly humpbacked, that happened during installation, but I think that worked slightly in my favor as to wicking as the ends just naturally sloped down towards the airholes, so that was helpful.

I like the vape better than the "perfect coil" (it really did look machined, LOL) my husband created for the Russian 3.0, but to be fair, it was probably the differences in the tank. That, and I enjoy succeeding at new stuff... It was quite clear to me when the husband finally *took over* as it were, that I wasn't going to be allowed to vape my frankencoils, LOL, but also clear that this was easier than emptying the dishwasher for him. Sigh. I suppose when you design and assemble multi-million dollar buildings (not solo, but you know what I mean) wrapping and installing a coil is pretty easy. I'm used to talking to people, LOL. Talking to my coil didn't seem to make it any easier, regardless of WHAT encouragement or censored words I used... :D

Yes it's very adjustable. Even at airflow almost closed off, it was a bit airier than I'm used to, but not unpleasant. If you open the airflow and probably use a different resistance coil, you'd get a restricted lung hit or even just a DL hit. It's pretty versatile. When I vaped it airflow all the way open it was quite a bit of vape.

I believe it did! There was some odd piece inside that I couldn't figure out what it was, and kind of assumed that it was something to do with a pre-installable coil. Thanks for asking the question, as I'd be happier with a smaller airflow, honestly. Awesome, TY :) Yes, I just checked the FT site and that's definitely what it is. I will have to go about replacing it.
