Tucson, it's a dry heat
I really like having an ohm meter - when I plug in an atty on the evic, it tells me what it's reading at and adjusts the VV or VW. I like knowing that it is recognizing it. If it says, "no atomizer found", I know there's a problem. When they come out with one that has an ohm meter, I will probably get it.

For me, the MVP is a great away from home APV. If I drop it or it gets knocked around (a little) it's solid enough that it's not going to break or chip immediately like the eVic. Only problem is this thing doesn't fit well with a lanyard (which I wrap around my wrist in case I drop it. I have learned not to go around looking like a noob with my APV on a lanyard on my neck, lol!)

How do you tell the battery life on this thing? I'm spoiled by my eVic spelling it out for me on the screen :p

All you need to do is one time vape on it until it turns Orange. For me that was 53 Hours. Than you can use that as your benchmark. No way to know how much battery is left. But does it really matter when the unit is so darned efficient and lasts such a long time.

A suggestion:

According to Battery University in reference to Lion batteries [Type used in MVP ] The rule of thumb is that the less discharged you allow the battery, the more amount of recharges. Fully discharging a lion battery isn't good for it.

A typical Lion Battery is rated at 300 charges before it will lose full charge. The trick is that if you do two 1/2 charges that is equal to 1 charge.

So if you charge every night assuming you use less than 1/2 the battery, it will last for 600 charges or around two years before you lose a little of the battery power.

My suggestion if you want the battery to last for a long time is every night before sleep just recharge it. If you forget to do it one night it should last until the next night.

If you have a long Micro USB Cord and it's not completely discharged you can also use it as a pass through.

I like the simplicity of the unit. But to me what would be Radical would be to get rid of the Puff Counter and have it show the resistance instead. No new menu to complicate, just show something more important.

I always use an evod coil in my protanks :) I hate the regular protank heads.

The thing is that it worked on the evics this morning, but when I switch it to the MVP, it doesn't work. The MVP lights up, but doesn't fire the coil. So, the coil is working and good (on the Evic) but there must be something relating to connecting to the MVP.
What is happening is that the post is not making connection. You may have screwed something else in too hard and the post is
pushed in a little.

There are two ways to fix this.
1. is to pull the pin on the Pro-Tank out with mini Pliers, if possible.
2. The second it to take a hooked pick and pull the pin on the Itaste out.

I found the Protank II won't fire on my iTaste MVP if it's NOT screwed on tightly ... had to use pliers to get it off the first time I used it. I noticed the contact was off-center. So I guess the gentle nudging of the connector with a tiny straight-slot is to center the connector? I reluctantly did the nudging and it worked. I must admit that I am disappointed with the Protank II. The flavor is no better than the esmart clearos on my stick batteries nor any better than the iClear clearomizers on my iTaste MVP. I know the glass tank is a plus in that it allows the user to vape tank-crackers. However, I vaped a cinnamon in it, and the flavor was muted as compared to my eroll! I've only had the Protank II for 2 days, and given my disgust with my initial experience, I haven't used it much. Pried it and loaded it up this morning with my ADV and we'll see.

I really enjoy my MVP, bought from FT. I've had it since the beginning of August. I got the slate blue one, and like the way it looks very much, but I imagine it is a question of personal taste. I like its size and feel. It fits nicely into my going-around Ego case. I'd buy a second one as a back-up with no hesitation.

I use it to charge other things in a pinch, too. It is very practical for my cellphone, for example. Since I usually have an Ego twist with me, it will also recharge it in a pinch. Always good to have stuff that is multi-purpose. :)
