My SVD was giving a 0.0 ohm reading, so I put a size 60 o ring in it as directed on here. Now I am getting readings all over the place. From the correct reading all the way up to 3.2 ohms. Has anybody else experienced anything like this?
I have an SVD and the only time I get a 0 ohm reading is when there is no tank attached or the tank isnt making contact to the center pin in the 510 connect point ( the +pin down inside the threads where the tank attaches) as far as adding an O-ring, I never saw that post and truly wonder why it would be suggested. Just where did you add the O-ring?
As an add on to my previous post... The center pin (+ post) may have been pushed down too far from over tightening your tank ( a common mistake for new vaporerers) take something thin and pointy and GENTLY raise the center pin upwards just a tad. Try the tank again but only tighten till it is slightly snug... if it still doesnt work, the coil may have opened up ( burned out like a light bulb)... try a new coil...
one more thought... what type of tank/atty are you using? sometimes the + connect point in Evod/Protank coil assy will make a weak contact and give weird readings ( the wire is held in place by the insulator and pin )
I put the o ring in there because I got tired of having to raise the center pin up so it would read. So you don't have any o ring under the center pin? I'm using a RSST.
