Hi guys, I need help!

I have a VTR and I love mainly cuz I can put it my pocket without worrying about breaking my atomizer or messing the 510 connection, etc..
But I want an upgrade! Preferably to something similar, lighter and smaler..
I've considered the joyetech eGrip, but the eGrip has limited power (1500mAh), it's own atomizer and coils (although the RBA option is a plus), and with it I can't really use my top choice Nautilus mini with BVC coils..

Can you guys help me with some more and preferably better options?

Thanks in advance.:2cool:

A REO would be a great little box mod worth considering. A Reo is a bottom feeding dripper with a onboard tank. REOSmods - Which REO and Atomizer is for me?

I have one LP (low profile) Reo Grand and 4 of their Woodvil's (limited run item). You would have to learn to build your own coils (it's not hard), learn about battery safety and Ohm's Law but there's a huge community of REO members here on ECF that can help you here.

Woodvil #4 - Bubinga:Maple Front.jpgWoodvil #4 - Bubinga:Maple Inside.jpg

If you think you might be interest in a Reo, come on over to the Reosmods Forum and browse around. Lots of information and lots of very friendly members to help you if you have any questions.

Another option worth considering are Little itty bitty mods under $100

The problem with going "smaller" is you're going to be limited to battery size along with battery capacity. Unfortunately, that's the nature of the beast. I recently picked up a couple of iStick Mini's and love 'em. They're perfect for going out and about, but the battery life isn't what you're going to expect from a larger device, especially the VTR, which uses an 18650 battery.

What is your budget for an upgrade and what are you expecting the new device to be capable of doing? There are plenty of devices available that will be an upgrade from the VTR like the new MVP 20 and 30 watt devices which are made by Innokin as well. There are the I-Stick's 10,20,30, & 50 watt devices which are all great performers. The Sigelei line of box mods from 30 to 150 watt are rugged and reliable and personally my favorites for boxes. I have never had any problems with any Sigelei device I have ever bought and I'm vaping off my 150 watt while writing you Lol!
Pioneer for you has a complete line of boxes and similarly styled devices that range from 30 to 165 watts. Some of their stuff has had minor issues but the more recent releases seem to be more reliable. I guess it boils down to what won't break the bank and what style of device and what features you are expecting it to have there are tube mods out there now that render the technology in your VTR antiquated.

Hi,
Thanks for the replies,
What I'm looking for is something that holds down the atomizer like the VTR does. 18650 size doesn't bother me, what bothers me is the weight of the VTR. I already have a XPro M65 mod box and it's great but doesn't feel safe in my pants pocket.. I want something I can feel relaxed having inside my tight jeans!

Thanks.

I know there have been some issues with like 0.2% of the 100,000 or So made melting but I have two Cloupor Mini's and I Absolutely Love them. They work great, use an 18650, 30w or 7v, adjustable 510, super mini size.. I dunno, for the price they are wonderful.. I think the issues are Exagerated, mainly because of Cloupors past Failures, But that does my make be Love my Mini's any less. Look into them, for under $40 in some cases in the US and down all the way to $28.99 it's a hell of a deal.

Holds down the atomizer? I guess you mean has it partially parallel to the battery so it doesn't stick up too much? As a former VTR user and still an owner I'd like to see Innokin replace the model with a similar design but with USB pass-through and the weight shaved, then they'd probably get some more of my cash.

Yup, that's exactly what I mean! Sorry if my English isn't the best at times but I think I do pretty well for a Portuguese native..

I'm seeing this thread going off topic really fast.. As I mentioned before I already have a box mod and that's not what I intend to buy.
What I want is either something similar to VTR with atomizer parallel to mod, or a all-in-one like the egrip.

Please stop talking about your boxes and stay in topic.

Thanks.

I'd be in for a minimum of two of those. Still using my original VTR daily after about a year and a half even though the chrome has worn through to copper and whatever that is under it in several places. To me the beauty is the way the atomizer is tucked into it and protected. That thing has been dropped so many times onto sidewalks and pavement that I've stopped counting, and other than the battery popping out a time or two and some minor dings there have been no issues. Anything else, and I'd have been out several atomizers at least.

The Kato square looks nice, but..
Still heavy, mechanical and the Nautilus mini won't fit..
On the other hand, a subtank nano will fit.

Thanks.
You can put a kick in the Kato. It's easy to do.

18500 and 18650 Katos with kicks are my daily vape devices. I agree they're needlessly heavy. Would like to see something like it using lighter materials and less bling.

Oh and Yiloong just put out the Fog Box
This looks nice, will look at it better when I'm home.
You already know about the eGrip. There's also the Gizmo and the MicroStick and that's about it. Not much of a selection in this form factor.
MicroStick is pretty much useless to any good atomizer with its 16.5mm ring, but Gizmo looks beautiful and will fit anything!
Finally this thread is going in the right direction!
Thanks for these amazing tips!
