The only cons I can think of is the battery size, but that that's how you get something this size. It has all the features that my MVP2 does but in a smaller package. I really like mine and am vaping it right now with an iclear30s at 4.2v. I (unlike most) tend to use voltage mode more than wattage.

Soooo my other question.. does the iTaste VV V3 have enough power for the Protank 3? (Dual coil)
Yes. Those come with ~2 ohm coils. You only need about 4.7 volts to put 11 watts into them, and I can't really imagine needing more than 11 watts in one (although I suppose it depends on the juice). I don't have an Protank 3, but I do have an Aerotank (which uses the same coils) and I rarely run it above 8 watts. The only question is, how long will that 800 mAh battery last at those power levels. ;)

Yes, The VV3's normally ship with dual coil iClear 16's so they can power dual head clearo's fine.

The question really is, why dual coil?

Dual Coil really makes sense on an RDA because dual coils can last longer, and are easier to build. The RDA is designed so that maximum surface area and airflow exists to get the benefits of dual coils. A lot of people who use dual coils use Mechanical Mods and really drive up the amps. (i.e. sub ohmers)

IMHO, dual coil clearo's are a waste of cash. Of course some people will disagree with me, but hear me out.
1. Most dual coil clearo's are not built with sufficient airflow to take advantage of both coils. The PT# coils are "stacked" on top of each other, and a lot of RDA'er's will tell you that is not good design.
2. Regulated mod's like VV3 and MVP2 have voltage and current limitations which prevent each coil from reaching optimal temperature. I like 7.0 watts on my mini PT2's. But with a dual head coil, each coil would only draw 3.5 watts. Although I would theoretically get "twice as much vapor" that vapor would be much cooler and may not have the flavor. I personally have not experienced ANY advantages with dual head.
3. Dual heads use more juice, are more expensive to replace and generally are run at higher voltage/wattage than single head counterparts.

So you get to burn through juice faster, pay more for your heads and shorten your time between recharges.....for what? But that's my humble opinion. I think dual heads are actually the new "bigger is better" mentality that atty manufacturers are using to get new customers. If you think dual head is better, so be it. I personally think dual head in a clearomizer is a lot of vape and mirrors.

So say I wanna run single coil in my PT3. What are some good ones for that? Haha

If you run single coil then just get a PT2. Now if you want variable air flow, then get an aerotank and run single coil. There is no advantage of getting a PT3 if you are going to run single coil heads in it.

I might not be the best one to ask. I think a lot of these new "tanks" and stuff are preying on our search for the "next best thing".

I use Mini Protank 2's. They are inexpensive, they are cheap to replace and recoil and they provide great performance. And most important, they are proven. I can't wait until someone comes up with the BQC (Bottom Quad Coil) clearomizer....NOW WITH 4 coils!!!!

Well the thing Is I already have a PT3. I dont wanna buy a new carto... just new single coil heads that will fit

Agreed. The best "off-the-shelf" single-coil glass clearo setup just might be a PT2 with an Aerotank base. You can get the bases separately now; they're like $5-6..

I don't think they exist at present.

PT2 heads will fit in the PT3, from what I have seen in some reviews. You might want to buy 1 first to test it out just to make sure it fits and doesn't leak.

We have three VV3s between me and my wife. The first one took a drop in battery capacity after only about nine weeks. It seemed to lose about 40% of it capacity. Strangely enough it seems to have recovered some, but still doesn't last as long as my new ones. So hopefully it was just a fluke and I won't have an issue with the other two. As for 101 Vape, I used them for my last order and they were very fast. In fact I sent them an email on a Saturday at 9PM and they responded in about an hour.

Uh....

On the left is a PT/PT2 head. On the right is a PT3/Aerotank head. Tell me how the PT2's tube us going to seat on that upper gasket?

That was my first PV. It got me to quit but IMO it was expensive for the lacking quality. I had it 3-4days and it started wobbling at the top like it was going to snap. That being said I still have it to this day but the MVP is a much better device for roughly the same price, and the ce4 tanks from the itaste vv 3.0 kit only lasted me a week or so in total before everything went to hell.
