iteo wick question regarding flavor

Just made my first one today and I am on the fence. Is this method known to alter flavor in any way? The reason I ask is one of my favorite flavors seems totally different now.. almost so that I don't really like it. The flavor profile is completely different now. Is this normal or did I do something wrong? I soaked it ok before "installing" it, I thought it may not have been soaked enough before vaping. I saturated it pretty good and let it sit about 20 minutes before vaping again and still blah.

Vapor density is immense, so I believe it's soaked well enough at this point..

Seems that there is really little information on this wick style? The general google search for me returned more results on the individual, lots of pics depicting said wick, the coil god dex, and some stuff on how to make it. Dex had a bit of a writeup on it, but that was it.. nothing really "definitive"..

Which style are you referring to?

Macros with tons of wick?

Nano dragons?

I havent messed around too much with iTeo anything, but I have built enough to say yes, build and wicking can DRAMATICALLY change the way a juice responds even with all other things being equal.

Most all of my coils are wrapped at qtip diameter, I would guesstimate about 2-3mm.

Hi CRW I found the same thing - my wick produced a ton of vapor but it seemed like i was able to taste the rayon I used as much as the juice. Not sure why there is so little info out there on this but for now I am back to my normal wicks. If anyone out there has a solution or can point out where I went wrong please let me know. Oh by the way i have tried it on a dual coil in my Plume Veil using 24 gauge kanthal at .3 ohms,

Yes...I have also experienced a profound affect on the flavor.I definitely get more vapor but the change/reduction in flavor was not worth it to me using Iteo wicking. Looks nice though!

One thing I have found just by trial and error is just to ease up on the cotton a bit. If it is too tight going into the coil, I'll make a smaller one. It should fit snug, but go through without too much resistance. this has helped tone down the wick taste considerable amounts!
