Might be, but isn't there a big thing about imperfect coils not being as good? All I have is a drill bit and my hands and my carpel tunnel hates me when I wrap them.. Definitely gonna try this myself, it'll save my wrists at least!

xtreme - yeah I was thinking about getting one of those, too. I might be stopping at Michael's today and if I see one I will pick it up. I think the 1.5mm bar would be best for me, too.. that's the closest to 1/16"

How tight can you get the coils with that gizmo?

And I just figured most people probably have a drill handy, so that could be used in a pinch at least!

Subver according to the guys at the microcoil thread this gives the best wraps in terms of tension and compression. I feel the 2 threads are overlapping.

Even better then! I will def get one. Hopefully I can find one with good mandrel sizes. At least the 1.5mm is good! I would like 1.5mm and 2mm at least, I think?

I suppose in the worst case scenario maybe I could put blunt-tipped needles (of the size I want) over a smaller mandrel?

Didn't realize and just got this kit. The mandrel that was suppose to be 2mm is measuring 1.8mm. So now I am wondering if the kit that comes with the 1.5mm may also be less. The Deluxe Kit comes with the built-in table-mount base and the 2 rod set does not.

Artistic Wire Coiling Gizmo Deluxe Winder ~ 5 rods, 4.5mm, 4mm, 3mm, 1.5mm, and 1.0mm

Artistic Wire Coiling Gizmo Econo Winder ~ 2 rods, 3mm and 2.0mm

Does anyone put cotton into the metal cup to soak up flooded juice?
Sometimes when it floods and I turn it upside down like I would normally do, a ton of ejuice comes out. I'm still getting used to the setup and have been reducing floods, but I just wanted to check and see if extra cotton from the channels to the bottom of the metal cup would reduce this or change the vape at all.
Thanks guys!

Yes extra cotton would help. I was thinking of doing it but my cup rarely fills up with juice. If it does it means you're opening the mouthpiece too much.
Be careful you don't want too much cotton because it might end up disrupting air flow.

I've been using mr krinkle method as well. I have been opening the mouthpiece about 2 turns, sometimes 2 and a half.. Under that I start to taste cotton (not burning at all, just a slight taste like it's not saturated)
My juice is about 80+ VG so it's a little thick

This is exactly the same issue that i am getting. My coil is at 0.5ohms, if i opens too little, cotton taste if too much flood. So i play around with tilt and juice control to lessen this issue. I am using 100% vg.
