Is there a parts list needed for the complete Ithaka with new rebuildable part?
Links please

For an Ithaka that gets mountend onto a JGG or GGTS you will need:

Ithaka GGTS Base
Ithaka Engraved Tube
Ithaka Clear Window
Ithaka Upper Body
Ithaka Refilling Cap
Ithaka small Cap

Optionally you can add the 510 adapter to mount the Ithaka on any (510) mod:
Ithaka Adjustable Air 510 Base
Ithaka CR SS

Update kit either as a complete unit:
New Ithaka Update Full

Or assemble the Update kit from Parts:
AD pin (Brass) for Ithaka update
Center Post Pin (Brass) for Ithaka update
Center Post Plastic for Ithaka update
Housing for Ithaka update
Negative Base for Ithaka update
Negative Pin for Ithaka update
Positive Pin for Ithaka update
(2x) Wire Holder for Ithaka update (+1 for the carpet)
Insulator for Ithaka update
Sandwich Plastic for Ithaka update
Center Post for Ithaka update
Mouthpiece for Ithaka update

The steel ring that can replace the Clear Window is not available currently:
Ithaka Steel Window

I am not sure if all parts will have O-Rings, so you better add one O-Ring kit:
Ithaka O-rings

Hey guys I set up a dual microcoil on the new rebuildable. It's vaping great.. About .85 ohms, 28g kanthal. I think I might still need to use more cotton.. It started vaping better when I laid a little cotton over the top coil. Should I place little bits in between them and maybe reinforce the main wicks? It feels like it's hard to keep up with chain vaping unless I open the mouthpiece really wide, which is right about at the point where it will flood.
Any tips? Maybe my wicks were too dense actually.. I'm still trying to get used to cotton on these tiny little coils.
The only other thing is it takes a second to heat up, but I think that might just be the nature of the thicker wire? Should I try smaller wire and more wraps?
Despite that the duals are still vaping great!
Thanks guys!

Its hard to tell without seeing your build. 0.86 ohms sound quite good. How many coils are there and wich diameter is the coil? My guess is that it has to big diameter, thus the long time to heat up. Also I guess you have too much cotton in the slots so you actually block liquid flow, but these are all guesses in the dark.
The cotton insine the coils should be fluffy, not to much but also not to few :)

Yeah I think the cotton might be too dense then.. 2 coils wrapped around a 1/16" drill bit. I'm gonna get some cotton balls today and see if that is better than the cotton batting
It doesn't really take too long to heat up, just not as instant as one micro coil, but seems slightly longer than regular dual coil on the old Ithaka build (.75 ohm)

Besides that, I guess 2 coils is not good. In my optinion there should be at least 3 or better 4 coils. Personally I use 0.3mm NiCr (AWG29) and a 2,4mm screwdriver to wrap my coils. I wrap 6-7 coils and get around 0,8Ohms.
I am not sure about your drill bit - is the 1/16" the diameter or the radius? For my screwdriver the 2,4mm is the diameter.

0,85Ohms with AWG 28 NiCr (13,6 Ohms per meter) -> approx. 6,25cm wire needed.
3mm drill bit diameter -> approx. 9,4mm wire per coil
6,25 [cm] / 0,94 [cm/coil] ≃ 6,64 [coil]

Something seems to be wrong with these 2 coils...

Ah got it - you did a dual coil setup and I was thinking about the individual coils (wraps around the drill), so no problem with your two coils! On the other side - you got pretty much wire-material (two 1,7 Ohm coils made of long and thick wire) to warm up which is also cooled by the liquid so that is your issue with the heating up.

With regards to your feeding problem - you can remove the tank and mouthpiece and drip a bit of juice on your coils. Then fire and see what happens, fire again and so on. Maybe there is one of the two wicks that gets dry sooner than the other. If not just check the cotton in the slots and thin it or remove it at all (good old Mr. Krinkle).

I have to admit I really disliked the new rebuildable part to begin with - setting up the old Ithaka is so easy and it just works - you can almost do it blindfolded (and yes, apart from twisting the wires, I have been practicing to do this James Bond style in the dark...). I had gurgling and burning and all sorts - then everyone here is raving about how good it is and that just taunted and irritated me more so I spat the dummy, put it aside and went back to normal Ithaka.

I refused to be beaten and had another crack at it today - made a ø1.4mm micro coil from 30g kanthal to about 2Ω and poked some very thin (6 strand) hemp string in there (I ran the string down the channels as it is so thing because I like to keep the chamber as small as possible) - thinking this can’t possibly wick with just single channels and such a thin wick - I was so wrong!

This is an outstanding dry vape and perfect for steeps as has been said - the amazing thing is even on only 6W I am getting bags of vapour and taste - the batteries and juice last a lot longer too. This is not your grandfather’s Ithaka, but I’m sold and rebuilding only takes a few seconds.

Just one thing though - I know if it’s built right, there should be no juice going down into the reserve area, but when it does, it comes into contact with the knurled brass bit that sits above the o-ring and gets dark from reacting with the juice - I would really like to see a SS version to avoid this issue, or at least a knurled SS nut and use a naked post with Just and TS - what is the thread size?

Thanks for the tips guys and congrats Imeo - I now prefer the upgrade and would recommend it to any Ithaka owner!
