So Cali
Hello ladies and gents.
The moment you have all been waiting for has arrived :D

Bad news first: I dropped my brand new Provari mini v2.5, green led, yellow carbon fibre skin from over a metre high whilst taking Ithaka off onto hard kitchen floor tiles  :(
It smashed onto the floor really hard and I thought that's the end of it. But, thankfully its working fine and the led screen is unharmed. So far it seems fine and let's hope I ain't damaged it :-(

Good news: first try and it was vaping the same on a 5 wrap at 1.9 ohm coil with vanilla custard and tasted burnt but was better than before and then the coil snapped :-(
Second try, 4 wraps at 1.6 ohm, single coil with two wicks (like Imeos video), this time gorilla juice (vanilla custard improved) and it was amazing. Loads of vapor, great taste if not better than Ody and a great throat hit :vapor:
Will try again using dual coil
Ithaka won't be biting my ... tonight lol she'll be kissing it as I've given her a nice massage :D

Thank you Imeo for a great sexy atty

I have to agree with somo. Some juices are not meant for dual coils. Thank you everyone and you will love Ithaka and anyone who ain't got one......what you waiting for, a kiss on your ....? In your dreams but Only if your a fit sexy woman lol
Lol sorry, I'll shut up now. It's 02:20 am and I'm just talking out loud in my dreams :)

100ml of GVC coming in today and I wanted to do my first taste with dual coil on the ITHAKA..So Single coil better?. I plan on setting it up at 1ohms...Any success or progress....Ithaka arriving tomorrow...man the anticiaption!!!!!!

The amount of heat in the chamber does not affect the vaporization. the direct contact of the wire will. What you are saying about the metal part is of course true because the heat in the chamber has doubled. However the actual burning of the liquid is still at the same temperature for each coil. I doubt that the heat produced by one wire will make the other wire hotter and vice versa. I might be wrong but I cant see it happening.

I guess vaporization starts above a certain temprature. To my understanding this does not happen only around the wire but throughout the wick under the wraps. If there is only one coil in the same size chamber the heat from the coil is absorbed earlier to heat up the surronding chamber. In case of two coils the inside temprature is higher thus the wick keeps the tempreature better thus can get even hotter.
Maybe I am wrong but surely 1.5 ohms dual with 4 volts is totally different from 3 ohms with 6+ volts.
One big advance of twisted dual coil is that you have enough material to use to cover bigger part of the wick with your wraps. Another solution is to have a lower resistance coil but still it will not be on par with DC.

Imeo I have a question. My center posts on ody, penny and now ithaka are always not centered when I rebuild. I'm not sure if it was OK before I took it apart. Can you tell me what am I doing wrong? And sometimes because of this when sitting on a non gg mod my ody sits a little bit slanted. Here is a picture of what I mean on ithaka.

Just outside my comfort zone.
That happens to me when using provari but never happens on GG.

FYI: vasillis has the ithaka available on his site for those that didn't order on the presale! he has custom drip tip mouthpiece and extra plastics for between the house and the post...

Anyone in US wondering how the shipping is...Vasillis is great. He gets your order in the mail very fast and it takes about 1.5 - 2 wks to get to the east coast. Never had a problem and he is very responsive! Very Very good to work with and responds to emails quick!

enjoy!

Great finding SS!
I realized a few months ago that you can make wires almost identical to the premade wires. Twist together your wires like you normally would if building your own coil. What I do after that is use a butane lighter to burn the wire. If you are careful and don't overdo it the silver nonresistance wire will melt into a bead slightly larger than the ones on the premades.

I figured this out completely on accident. My Bic lighter ran out of fluid and picked up a butane lighter figuring that it would be cheaper in the long run because you can refill the butane lighter. Also, it burns hot enough to get your wick to glow when you are burning it.

Thank you very much fork. I think that there are a lot of variables that you can test on Ithaka, so it will be a long time game:)
Just got my ithaka this morning. Been playing around with it a little bit, love it. Using it with dual coil X method at about 1 ohm. WOW. I have it set now with BF on full. Works a treat with my El Torro Guevara Reserve NET but I have to be very careful with the mouthpiece control as It can flood much more easily. Best only to open that before a vape and close again. I'll try it without BF on my next set up with the same NET and see what the difference is.
The big difference with Ithaka over ody and pene is its massively easier to set up a dual coil on it. Was always a bit too fiddley to wrap a dual coil around one wick or trying to jam two single coil and wick set ups into a single ceramic chanel, often caused me to catch the wick in control ring or mouthpiece, so I'd given up on them with ody and pene. Ithaka is a rebuildable that address this issue.
I am tempted to make 2 dual coils around each wick for a quad coil set up, not necessary for how I like to vape but interested to see what it'd be like.
Cheers imeo for the great product.

Ithaka has a very long post aal, so it doesnt always comes straight, its impossible. But this issue has a very easy fix. Check the video.

Hi Imeo!

you already received many congratulations! and here is mine!

it is a fantastic product!!

I was already very satisfied with my Ody v2 and it seems I will also be very satisfied with Ithaka!

I am using Ody (and just Ody!) on a daily basis for almost a year now and I am fully satisfied!
but I have to say that after 3 days using Ithaka, this one is by far much better, more flexible in terms of vaping and as easy as Ody to wickle!
I am really impressed!! I am thinking of buying another one!!

Congratulations Imeo for your work! repect!!

I had this with an Ody drip mode once. I can't remember exactly how I rearranged/add/removed the small orings on the center pin, but that fixed it. Hope that helps lol

Hello Imeo, I've been butting heads with Bruce at COV over the difference of in stock and pre-sale. And all I want is an Ithaka, and everything else you make, because it's superb and I won't waste your time quoting what you already know and have been told. However, is there a chance you can pick up another vendor to give the folks in the US a choice of COV or someone else, because I know a few sites that would love and have the financial backing to carry the GG. --thanks.
