Yeah I agree even with microcoils at 1.4-1.5 ohms smaller batteries just won't do. I bought a couple of 18490 AWs and they're just rubbish after the first few draws; which is a shame cause the JGG looks brilliant in 18350 mode.

Here a re the SONY batteries and you'll find the Panasonic at the bottoms as well.

I say grab one of those smooth rings, and you will be able to trade it with someone that has a knurled ring assuming these are the same size of the GGTS rings, which i think they do.
