While we are on this subject, I have a question / request.
Is it possible to replace wick without emptying the tank with current design? I thought about using upside down method shown above to hold the juice in the tank while "carefully" screw the mouth piece from the atomizer chamber. But this sounds too ricky and needs very steady hand. Any other method?
If not, would it be possible to come up with a design that would allow easy replacing of wick/coil without draining the tank?

Main reason is, I like to change my cotton wick almost everyday since they are cheap and new cotton wick gives better vape. Currently, safe route is to drain the remaining juice, break down Ithaka, rinse/rewick and refill. If I can replace the wick without the needing to drain the juice, it would be so much easier.

Hi zero this is no problem to do,I do that many times in the past.
Just turn it up side down open the base, one or two trials and you'll master it.
Put the upside down Ithaka on a steady place while you work the base and rebuildble
Then screw it back again.
No need for a too steady hand as it may look.
Few times like so and you'll make it no problems.

I concur, I do this all the time no problems whatsoever.

I think it was Todd (UKV) who did a review of it on am ithaka. It has quite an amount of parts so it can fit different GG atties. If I can find the Vid, I'll post it.

lol just happened to watch this.
Todds Reviews: GG to Kayfun Conversion Kit

Interesting idea. I have used kayfun for long time, but it is now just sitting in the drawer since the update kit. I am not sure what would be the benefit of conversion kit since Ithaka update kit does pretty much the same thing. In fact, I prefer the update kit since it is fully integrated and has more room for coil build. Anyway, would be interesting to get some feedback on comparison.

Good question. I've got two Penelope v1s and love them, But the Odysseus kind of didn't do it for me. I really like the mellow Vape of the dualcoiled Ithaka. That said, I also own a Penny v3 and a Kayfun, and said conversion Kit, and I prefere the kayfun-converted Odysseus to the original one and to the Kayfun. I don't like to compare it to the Ithaka (for which I don't have the upgrade, but that's why I mentionned my penny v3 as I know and love the principle) because it just gives a different Vape I also like. The draw on the conversion kit is much airier then on the orginal Kay or Ody, which is why I like it and can give it a more brutal coil.
But I still use the Kayfun more on the road because it's less prone to leaking, more compact and has side-intake for air, so perfect for a minimal stealth 18350-mod.
In the end, I should probably shut my mouth as none of this is usefull information, me thinks...

I tried this today and it was AWESOME!
I initially thought I can unscrew the mouth piece all the way, but it gets stopped at 3/4 way up. No problem, unscrew the base upside down and within a few turn, bingo! they came apart. Looking down the tube and seeing the floating mouth piece and juice, it felt like I was looking at something I wasn't suppose to see. :D
Did a quick rinse and changed the wick and put everything back together. Less than a few minutes! done!

Thanks again all.
