I certainly hope we are not changing the base of the ithaka now...the change of the mouthpiece already cost me an extra 100+bucks...

I normally try to avoid these "make it different" discussions, but, I like Imeos creativity and his ability to produce his inovative devices, I'm certain that he understands his designs better than we do. Having owned many of his ground breaking devices each of which makes perfect sense within minutes of acquiring it and handling them. Each time that realization strikes me, "I get it, this is a great idea" has taught me to be patient, be still, and enjoy what ever arrives in the mail when it comes. So far I have never been disappointed in Imeos decisions. I was excited to hear the Ithaka was going to have an iAtty mp, now it will not. The easy change connector is another new great idea, let's not challenge it and lose it to.

this will bring cost down, which i really need right now and since its the only thing it will sit on, i dont need the extra control tank 510 threaded base

I think Imeos "I will satisfy every vaper out there" is the answer to this question. Some gg owners may only have only a stealth, plus if we only save 20 or 30 euro I would rather pay that and have a more versatile atomiser that can fit on all mods. 7 months ago I had zero GGs today I have 6 ggts and a provari which is collecting dust. The Ithakas charm is it will work on all devices with out buying a adapter. That being said not every one can have a gg for many reasons ie availability. I think Imeo knows what he's doing and that's trying to satisfy every vaper out there.

The integrated easy change 510/GGTS base is a fantastic design and no one is denying that nor wishing it was not a feature. I personally wouldn't buy one without the option ( if the 510 portion were an option) even though I'll be using 1 or 2 with only the native TS base. But some GGTS owners won't ever use the 510 portion and would like it to be an option so they can save the money and not have to use the 510 portion as a paperweight. This makes sense to me.
Jojo, you have already paid for the 510 portion so if it had been an option, it would not have cost you any more than you've already paid. It would only cost less for the ones who feel that they dont need it.
Edit: having said that, I don't think that the 510 base adds much cost to the unit seeing that the GGTS base for Odysseus is about $12.

great update and changes to the design! it just keeps getting better.
i vape almost exclusively gg but my favorite is the stealth model, to have air control /adjustability wile on a stealth is HUGE!
full air control in a small form on the stealth will end up being my new all day vape for sure.

full air control in a small form on the stealth will end up being my new all day vape for sure.

The points you made legion are exactly the reasons that I wouldn't buy the Ithaka without the 510 base. And I, like you, voted for the GG style mouthpiece because it is my favorite but i also purchased a drip tip style mouthpiece for one of those you never know days.

yea i just started using GG stuff and am completely and utterly impressed and hooked. My two pennies and Ody drip on penny base are my all day every day vaping device on the provari. I am now trying to acquire a GGTS to become my main device to put my incoming Ithacas on . Imeo makes the best vaping devices out there. He has beyond any doubt satisfied this vaper!

I will add my two cents here. I will admit I unofficially cast my vote for the GG MP. I THOUGHT I was voting for which MP would be the option to buy as the separate mp options e not which was going to come standard. My vote carried to the "official" voting thread. I never went there. Had I known it was for which mp comes standard I would have voted all drip tips. Why? It would be cheaper to buy myself to GG mp than 6 all tip mp.
But my take is this. It should have it exactly as it comes. One reason is this is how Imeo intended this to be. And he was smart about it. Another would be that this negates the need for scrambling to find one in the classifieds later because sellers are out of stock and in notify me mode. And frankly, there would always be people who would not be happy even if it was cheaper without the 510 piece. Because inevitably, they would want it later and not be able to find it.
We went through this before. It is difficult to please every vaper. This was Imeo's attempt and whether it will be on a GG or Provari, you will have everything you need always.

Thanks Yankee. To be honest the only reason I was able to afford it was 1. He cut me a little slack on the price (THANK YOU CAPT!), and 2. I had just received a surprise bonus for my job. I can't tell you how fortunate I feel...the timing was perfect. I will have three mods that I will never give up, even if I quit vaping. My nickel TS and my two TB woodies from Torqueguy. These will always be invaluable to me for many reasons.
i think you are absolutely right on this. i am new to gg devices, but what i can gather from reading on the forums and others opinions is this: i think we should just trust imeo to make the best device possible in every way. since that seems to be his standard
I'm super happy that Imeo has included the native connection and also the 510 on the Ithaka. I haven't used my GGTS in like a year since I got my ody because I had a provari and the GGTS wasn't giving me enough power for the ody high resistance which really upset me. I've been trying to get my hands on the stealth 510 connector for ages and recently preordered when it came available at e-smokeguru. I'm still waiting for it which should be due soon , my GGTS is waiting very patiently to be connected to the ody

I understand what you say urq and yosi but having the option to use it in other mods will be useful if for some reason you dont have GGTS with you. But when you need that option I will not have bases.
Also preorders are done already so what you asked cant be done now
And I always like to give all options to my people. Ithaka has to be the ultimate atomizer, much better than Ody witch was the best out there to my opinion

not true urq. Ithaka has many more options than Ody and its underpricerd already. If someone else was making Ithaka he would prise it at least at 180 euros. Just compare Ithaka to other mods and you will see that I am right
