A question for you guys, I remember reading about it in this thread, I just wanted to run through it again:
So, having 2 wicks and 2 coils the size and ohm rating you currently make will provide you with more nicotine, so you may want to buy lower nic liquid, correct?
Someone else said that you could DOUBLE both of your coils ohms to make it the same amount of nic you currently get.
Just wondering about this doubling of coil ohms. If I have 2 coils at twice the ohms I currently use, what will the difference be? WIll it just be amount of vapor? Will the heat rise/fall or stay the same?
I'm just trying to wrap my brain around this whole 2 coil thing.
I like my nic level now, but I would also love to have move vapor clouds (who wouldnt?) - and I wouldn't mind a hotter vape, but nothing crazy where I will burn juice or wick too fast (I use 100% VG)
For reference, right now I use about a 1-1.2ohm coil on 2.5mm silica wick, with an extra piece of 2.5mm under the coils.
I know a lot of this will come down to experimentation, but I want to be prepared

What you will experience is a much harder/harsher TH with that same nic level. You are burning juice on two coils. Why this is is provided you leave the wires the same as your current setup, you will pretty much halve the resistance.
So, lets take your liking. 1-1.2ohms. You make your wires this way. If you do dual coils, you will pretty much end up between .5-.7 ohms. That will tickle your throat, yes?
Using the same example, if you still want to end at 1-1.2 ohms, then what needs to happen is EACH wire needs to be setup as 2-2.4ohms. Then when you set dual coil, your end result will be about half. You still burn on two coils, producing much more vapor and flavor, your TH is in your zone, thereabouts.
If your eager to test this theory, use an atty you already have and check out videos by bishop. He's done his highlander duals on ody, penny, iAtty. You will see, if you haven't already seen these, exactly what is done. But with Ithaca, it will be easier because there are dual channels already so no stacking coils and sandwiches.
Of course, bish will be quad coiling the Ithaca I'm sure.

A similar but different aspect of nic strength , I started with 24 mg nic in a Ego-T, a year later I was vaping 5 times more often and my atomizer kept getting better at delivering it. So to be able to vape even more with an even better performing atomizer I have recently reduced it to 12 mg. If I feel I need a jolt of something stronger I have it but it seems to be working out just fine, I should have done it much sooner. I say cut the strength and vape more.
I keep seeing people talk about the Ithaka having dual channels. But the video Imeo posted shows the rebuildable part, and it looks just like Ody with deeper cuts. Did something get changed on the rebuildable part, and I missed it?

Only for very experienced vapers and only for one time. Dont do it often because sometime you will forget the cirquit open and something bad will happen

There are so many rumours about Ithaka being at COV already and that E-smoke Guru is shipping, is there any "real" news?
I can only imagine that if it were true either someone would have received a real email or Bruce would have posted on here or on the COV thread.
