the ONLY way this could be made right is with the preorder folk getting a 2 for 1 so they could be sold for retail on the classies and recoupe the "initial" investment for funding the whole thing

Wow, I cant believe bruce is selling these at vapebash... I really hope this isnt true. We def should have had priority on this. Even Vasssilis made a post about how he would not sell 1 single Ithaca until his preorders were fulfilled! Now that is a stand up guy
Now I must say Bruce has not given me any reason not to trust him so I want to hear from him to hopefully clear this up
Well IF this turns out to be true, I will be greatly disappointed. And this is not a disappointment with Imeo. I want to be very very clear, I support Imeo and GG! I will always be a fan of yours Imeo!
I had a feeling that this would happen, and the other day even mentioned this on FB Golden Greek Freaks. I respect that it takes time for shipments. BUT there should also be a respect to those who prepaid. We have patiently waited for Imeo to make and ship, then we have to wait for COV to ship. Even if it turns out that Bruce only took 50-100 to Vapebash, he should have thought of the hundreds that have been waiting.
The shame is Bruce has access to get on here and reply, to apologize, or to clear the air, something. The lack of any response from someone at COV at this point means that the are detached from the vaping community and the USA GG fans. I totally get that Bruce is excited to unveil Ithaka and show it off at Vapebash, BUT what did he not think word would spread and those who pre paid may feel forgotten, used, lied to or disappointed. But as much as Bruce may be excited, so are those of us who paid for them in Dec.
It will be no surprise to see people change and order from esmokeguru. I certainly hope that restrictions won't be imposed that only orders for the USA have to go thru COV.

Just for fun, since Im sure this wont be officially cleared up for days, does anyone have a devils advocate argument for this. Im a reasonable man, I really am, but I cant figure out this one at all.
I'm typically a pretty diplomatic person, and try to see both sides of a situation. In this case, I just can't think of a reason it would be OK to leave those of us who pre-ordered hanging with no news about the status of our orders, while selling Ithakas to anyone else.
If we'd received word that they had them and were shipping them first thing Monday? Maybe that would make this excusable, if still very unfair. However, as it stands we've just been left to wait while other people were sold Ithakas first, and I can't think of any circumstances under which that's anything but plainly wrong.

It is simple, those who put up their money at Christmas time are due our Christmas gift before those at VB. if that would be the excuse then what that says to me is that I as a customer mean nothing to COV. If that was the case, it should have been made clear weeks ago to everyone.
Well, just for s's and giggles... what if he got them late, the elves are working away to get shipping going and Bruce took on e with him to VB (at Imeo's request) to get into Phil's hands for an early review?
To be honest, I have not had any issue with any of my dealings with COV or Bruce, thus far. So I am willing to give him a chance to respond to all this. As for trying to justify why giving VB first crack at Ithaka before getting them into the hands of my customers who already paid...I can't do it.
If Bruce is selling these at VapeBash for LESS than we paid for our pre-orders, that is a double insult!! If he wanted to sell them at VapeBash, he should have taken ONE display model and taken pre-orders at the showfor FULL priceto be delivered AFTER the previous pre-orders had been DELIVERED, not just sent out ... we should have had them in OUR hands first! Just my 2¢.
I don't think Imeo will be too happy when he reads all of this. And I hope he and Bruce get on here soon and clear things up. Hopefully Bruce will step up and do something for those that preordered. (money back of the difference that he is selling them for at VB)

Or perhaps the package arrived and he grabbed a handful to bring with him, while the elves back home are working on assembling the rest for shipment? Does anybody really know how many accompanied him to VB? I think it's a little early to pass judgement until the details are clear . . .
While I didn't pre-order in Dec, myself, if I had I would still be okay with the above situation. If in fact he has a large quantity there and is selling them at a reduced price, well then I would definitely be peeved. My point is that we don't know much at this time and should wait for more details before fully passing judgement
At just 3 min they said that preorders went out today and he was able to buy today too. Haven't even gotten to 33:30
OK folks I have just spoke to a friend at VB. They are being sold for $180. They are not sold out yet.
Then they should at least send 17 premade wires with the ithaka
Actually, that isn't really a reduced price if you factor in the discount code for the website ($197 listed on site - 10% discount code = $177.30 final price). Were the december pre-orders more than that?
