OK folks I have just spoke to a friend at VB. They are being sold for $180. They are not sold out yet.

It's roughly equivalent to a COV purchase prices $197 - $19.70 (bigbuyer 10% discount) = $177.30 so he's actually selling for a little more than COV price...

Edit: KJ was faster on the math

rough math, but if bruce sold 500 ithakas on pre-order, thats $100,000 we funded for the atties including the vapebash ithakas. i wouldnt wanna loose that kinda bizness if i were him.

Guarantee you he sold way more than that. I feel bad for e-smoke-guru now because he is going to have a large influx of customers who will no longer purchase from COV regardless of how this turns out. Vasilis is a good man, and would never do this to his customers. He did not offer another pre-order, and did not put up his unsold Ithaka's up until ALL preorders were shipped out.

I just got off the phone w a friend at VB. He approached Bruce and asked him about us. Here is my post from another venue:

OK I just spoke to my buddy. He approached Bruce and asked "what about the pre-orders?" Bruce responded "if you have your ID with you, you can pick it up now. At that point Bruce's nephew whispered into Bruce's ear and the conversation ended. There were at least 25 Ithakas for sale and if he was saying the preorders can pick them up they must have them

GG friends,

I'm sorry to hear about the COV disaster, hopefully the pre-ordered Ithakas are in the mail. This all sound very bad in my opinion, COV could have at least posted that due to time they would sell some at the Vapebash. Now this comes as a big shock and the integrity damage has been done and will never be forgotten. If this is just a rumor, it should have been silenced by COV fast. But nobody denies anything or says anything at all.
Besides the rotten business decision of COV, which will cost him in the long run, I also feel real bad for Imeo. It's a shame that his good name (lets be honest, he's the best!) is being affiliated with this. Please realize that he certainly is really unhappy about this, and probably feels so bad, that he doesn't now what to say to make everyone feel better. He most likely already called/emailed about it though.

Let's keep supporting Imeo, and if you want to boycot COV, just buy from the Greek vendor instead.

Again, I hope ya'll receive the Ithaka soon.

Regards,

Twitt

Not only would it mean they have them, but it would also mean they haven't begun shipping, and wouldn't be able to start until they get an accounting of what's been hand-delivered at VapeBash from Bruce.

OK, not so much a devils advocate here, but do we really need to flip out over every little thing. I mean, I don't think Bruce could have planned the timing of this one. He got the Ithakas right before a major event and obviously would love to represent COV and GG there. I understand it kind of sucks for us who paid in advance (and I am one of those waiting myself) but I just don't think this is all that major of an insult. I mean look everyone immediately starts screaming that he's selling them for less, when that looks to be untrue after all.

I do think he at the least owes us having people preparing and shipping to us right now, but again there is thousands of us so it will take a minute. Also think about that many show goers probably spent a lot of money just to get to vape Bash.

If he really did lie to us that would be inexcusable, but again see the over exaggerated impulse response to pricing. That makes me wonder if he really lied.

Again, I do think this somewhat sucks for us, and this was certainly not a good idea for Bruce in regards to PR, but do we really need to get the torches every single time things don't go exactly the way we want them to?

That's right, Vasilis posted he would not, right after COV started to pre-sell the unsold ones.

Ithaka's have serial numbers and I have already seen pics well into 2,000s. Pre orders were done world wide, so my math says that's over $400k. I am willing to bet Bruce had well over 1,000 pre orders. I am willing to bet around 4,000 were made. This is serious money, not something I would want to screw up if I was involved.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect that when you're one of the people who's been waiting months for an Ithaka, and who funded the production of them, that you should have one in your hand before someone can just walk up with cash and buy it.

There's no excuse for not even giving people who pre-ordered a status update before selling them to the general public. It's insulting, it's unethical, and it's wrong. I think people have every right to be angry.

His facebook page says that they are stuck in customs.

Nobody is talking bad about Imeo. Imeo would never treat his people like this. This is a greedy businessman who did this.
I have spoke on the phone with a friend at VB. There is no "maybe" here. We have 3 or 4 diff sources confirming this.
