Exactly sub
Easy, just carefully remove a couple strands from the wick. I believe 1 strand equals about .5mm? Please someone correct me if I'm wrong. So if you remove 2 strands (don't pull the strands out, hold onto the strand and twist the wick, gently pulling the strand out) you will have 2.5mm wick.
Just double check the strand size.. I think it's .5mm though

Just for the record, I use 3mm wicks for my dual coils. No problem. X style. Each is at about 2.2-2:4 ohms giving a 1.1ish res total. And it'll vapor on 18350 easy. Yes battery won't last as long so bring a pocket of spares. :)

Nice, do you have a piece of wick between the two?

I see fright. If syrigne is ok then we are ok. Refilling from the top cap without a syrigne was not in my plans. I always refill from the big cap when I use a bottle and a syrigne when I refill from the top cap
I figured out my problem with syringe filling my needle was bent. But now that I use a different one it is ok. I modified my mouthpiece for bottle filling. I normally fill my stuff with a bottle so before I modified it it annoyed me a little because sometimes the juice would pool up above the lip and I would think it was full when it wasn't. Now with the cuts the juice doesn't pool up at the top anymore when bottle feeding. At least according to my limited testing :D

I tried both. But normally no. What I do is take my lower wick, wrap 2-3 coils and then trail the bottom one out a little further and wrap another 2-3. ///__///
Then my top one I wrap the coils close together. /////. That generally puts the coils of the top in between the coils in the bottom. They touch in spots but its less touching. The wick in between flooded but I used a full 3mm in between. I didn't try only a couple strands in between.

what's your pg/vg ratio yankee?

Pure VG. NO PG here. Oh and basic fees is on both wicks. MP is generally closed but if I chain vape I do have to open every now and then.

The other day I left mp open and basic on both for about 12 hours on one flavor without vaping. Flooded really bad. That was also with a sandwich wick in between.

Oh that's a good idea. What gauge wire do you use for your coils? I also plan on having about 2ohm on each coil so I get 1ohm.

Something I just thought of but haven't tried is just offsetting the coils form each other.. so one coil to the left, the other to the right?

So what are the benefits of having the basic feed and opening the mouthpiece more?
Another thing is I saw on Bishops video he doesn't cut his wicks anymore... should they still end at the O ring like on Ody?

Thicker juice and chain vaping may render basic fees holes not enough for the period. iWork I don't chain vape, mp is generally closed. Works perfect and usually no flood. But it can run dry on chain vaping.

Currently my wicks are pretty much right at oring before even coiling. Maybe some neatness trimming. Maybe that's habit.

I haven't tried offsetting. At this point for me it's another tinker. When I find the setup that works for me, I tend to stick with it unless I want something totally diff. X style stacked like that works. Off setting likely would achieve same but no more or less performance.

33g wire is my dual coil wire. That's usually my twisted for ody or iatty as well. I have used 32. 30 is my single

Alrighty thanks! I usually chain vape at home, not at work, but still don't mind opening and closing the mouthpiece on Ody. I will probably try the basic feed though.. I'm sure 100% VG is harder to flood anyway, but I will try your setup.. I've had my Ithaka for a couple days but just haven't had the chance to set it up yet, and I think I will be able to tonight finally. Can't wait.

Another quick question - is there any reason someone wouldn't want the ceramic drain holes open? I can't think of any reason you would want them closed.. right?

I'm not quite sure on that personally. At home we are experimenting with holes open and holes closed. Jury is out. Mine are open. I believe that open feeds juice that "floods" into a holding area to wick again. Performance wise? I haven't garnered a good answer. Results seem off.
