So I pulled mine apart, I wanted to see just how many threads were below the slots in the basic feeder(5 or 6) and reassembled leaving basic feeder closed this time. I left the cap off for 3 min. after refilling and not the slightest indication of leaking from the post.
My liquid is better than 90% PG.

Ithaka 1556 has been with me now for 7 days, I guess I should post some stuff about what I think about it.
The thing I like the very most is the GGTS base, after that comes the tank top cap and grounding nut followed by the dual wick/coil capability.
Other than when refilling it hasn't leaked a drop.
Here's where it goes a little sideways, all of the coil builds so far have been good, vapor production is extremely good especially with dual coils but I'm having trouble getting the flavor as good or better than Oddy(well Oddy clone), but I'm almost there now, I feel it's what I'm doing or not doing that is making it this way.
Any ideas?

:O I have 1557 haha. Oh if only the 5s were 3s on mine x]

If you try it with water, you will see what I mean. of course we dont use water as our juice, but since we all want to have the perfect device, I think this issue needs to be addressed by imeo

I have done the same on my oddy clone. Damn thing was leaking and got tired of spilling/wasting juice everywhere so I tried it with water, still leaked. I took out the tank, plugged the bottom with my palm and blew and watched where the air was escaping. The culprit was between the locking ring and bottom deck. For some reason it wouldn't completely seal on occassion

I haven't been to vapure chula. My ithaka was from my boss, owner of Vape Up USA in Chula Vista

Another vape shop in Chula? Damn, lol. I work in CV and might have to stop by one of these days. Do you guys carry high end devices and RBA supplies? Vapure doesn't do anything for me. It's all overpriced china devices and mediocre juice.

BTW, no offense if you guys sell china gear. I understand why, just not what I'm looking for.

We found a supplier for filipino mech mods and atties so those will be coming in soon. 2 weeks is the estimate, we have a Z-atty up for sale, and 3 nimbus atties left in stock. Dunno about now but yesterday we did. We also have a few provaries. But based on your sig you already have those lol

yea we also carry rba supplies

Just want to chime in on the leaking issue. Ithaka has not leaked one drop since it's been in my possession (basic feeding always open and mouthpiece always turned to expose quite a bit of wick). In my experience, if you take time with the assembly, check that all o-rings are accounted for and in good condition, and make sure there are no burrs/uneven edges where parts meet, there should be no issue. The problem may be something so minute that you wont see it/resolve it until you completely disassemble and reassemble Ithaka. Hope problems are resolved soon!

i had a funny encounter with leaking on ithaka. I decided to refill it, prevous tank didn't leak at all, then put everything back in and it just leaked to hell. Practically emptied out itself on me

Are you filling it up with water with the wicks in or out? If the wicks aren't in, then I would imagine that yes, it's going to pretty much dump most of the water out. No atomizer is going to 100% leak proof. Liquid needs to be contained but it also has to be able to move around, and air has to pass through too. E-liquid is much thicker than water, and the wicks block it from dumping out.

I do have to admit that both Ithaka and Penelope frequently flood when I fill them up. There are a few things that can help. Not refilling until it's completely empty so that the wicks are dry and can absorb more excess liquid when it all becomes pressurized. Turning it upside down just before turning the last few turns on the top. Also, I find that if you can get it on your device and start vaping quickly enough you can vape off some of the excess liquid before it starts flooding (not real easy though.) Honestly I usually just let it flood a bit if it's going to, and gently blow out the excess juice.

Point is, everything floods and or leaks sometimes, and/or it will suffer dry hits, or something sometimes. Regardless Ithaka is still the best.
