Ok, I think I may have found a design flaw here. I take the top caps off, and fill ithaka with water. (I have the liquid control closed). Water is dripping out of the central air hole. Where does this water come from? It is getting into the rebuildable part from the two cuts or holes of the basic feeding, and then fills up the base and then finds its way into the ceramic until the level of water goes higher than the central nut in the ceramic and finally drains out of the central hole. EVEN IF I CLOSE THE BASIC FEEDING, this is still happening, with slower speed of course. I think it would be a good idea for imeo to make that part (the one that has the two cuts in it for the basic feeding) WITHOUT THE CUTS, we could use that when we DONT WANT THE BASIC FEEDING AT ALL, and use the original one with the cuts when we want the basic feeding
I see fright. If syrigne is ok then we are ok. Refilling from the top cap without a syrigne was not in my plans. I always refill from the big cap when I use a bottle and a syrigne when I refill from the top cap
No, That's impossible. The mouthpiece (liquid control) is tightly closed and nothing is getting through. I am 100% sure of what I said in my prevous post. The cuts (holes) of the basic feeding are causing the problem (specially with thinner juices) by letting liquid get into the base, fill the base completely with liquid, and then the liquid finds its way into the ceramic through the cuts at the buttom of the ceramic when you have them open by the central nut in the ceramic, and then the liquid fills the ceramic half-way until the level of the liquid reaches the top of the nut, and then the liquid drains out of the central air hole...
I tried closing the holes with some aquarium silicone and the liquid stayed in the tank and there was NO leaks...
Imeo please respond. Thanks
Aaaahhh finally.....salute to imeo![]()

I did not realize this Imeo. Well then it seems to be working as designed. But my modification makes it work how I would prefer it to. Either way my Ithaka is by far my favorite atomizer to date.
Looked for your website as I have to have a Nimbus for some reason and was looking to order. I wish you had one. GL

I wish the Ithaka was available either in all metal or something where I can use a few juices known to be harmful towards plastic tanks.

Are you filling it up with water with the wicks in or out? If the wicks aren't in, then I would imagine that yes, it's going to pretty much dump most of the water out. No atomizer is going to 100% leak proof. Liquid needs to be contained but it also has to be able to move around, and air has to pass through too. E-liquid is much thicker than water, and the wicks block it from dumping out.
I do have to admit that both Ithaka and Penelope frequently flood when I fill them up. There are a few things that can help. Not refilling until it's completely empty so that the wicks are dry and can absorb more excess liquid when it all becomes pressurized. Turning it upside down just before turning the last few turns on the top. Also, I find that if you can get it on your device and start vaping quickly enough you can vape off some of the excess liquid before it starts flooding (not real easy though.) Honestly I usually just let it flood a bit if it's going to, and gently blow out the excess juice.
Point is, everything floods and or leaks sometimes, and/or it will suffer dry hits, or something sometimes. Regardless Ithaka is still the best.
I have done the same on my oddy clone. Damn thing was leaking and got tired of spilling/wasting juice everywhere so I tried it with water, still leaked. I took out the tank, plugged the bottom with my palm and blew and watched where the air was escaping. The culprit was between the locking ring and bottom deck. For some reason it wouldn't completely seal on occassion
I dont have 2 more upper bodies here but if someone has them he can take off the engraved tube and put 3 upper bodies, then the big cap with the small cap. I think this will work just fine for people that want to test juices in an all metal Ithaka
Beard ive tried it both with wick and no wick with mp screwed down all the way nice and tight and it manifested both times
