Are you closing the mouthpiece, closing off feeding, before opening up to filling? If you do not, when you unscrew the top cap you destroy the vacuum that keeps the unit from flooding. Close mouth piece before filling. Reopen after top cap is screwed back into place.
Got My Ithy yesterday love it! The dual wick channel keeps up with a low OHM coil very nicely! I just placed an order for some parts with a little modding Im going to have a ODYKA ;-) My Ody with Ithaka inard and ceramic.
Imeo how about a drip tip that has 2 orings and is the same outer diameter as the mouth piece we can put in our Ithaka DT mouth piece so we can use our Ody parts to make it in to long mode? The two orings would be so it would seal nice.

Yes. Closing mouthpiece and air control as well. Not sure what else could cause it.
... fun: first tank 80-20 PG-VG juice, basic feeding open (both channels) and if I didn't also open juice control (pretty much: 4-5 turns) I was getting some occasional dry hits
second tank now, 100% VG and it's working great with basic feeding only

After 9 days of using Ithaka I finally noticed the two notches in the top of the basic feeder that you can see through the window that indicates it's position. I just thought i'd mention it in case there are others that didn't notice them either

I think more people are using nickel NR wire now, especially with Ithaka because silver can break easy, especially with the heat from dual coils. I only have silver but I am going to buy a spool of nickel.
I can't remember which thread it is, but I think Imeo is creating a telescopic drip tip for this purpose.

no reason for slow screw on Ithaka black because its not thin like Penelope. But it wouldnt hurt to do it if you see even the smallest leakage via center post

Buz, I will make a telescopic mouthpiece for Ithaka so you will be able to use it even on Ody. Also this mouthpiece will be able to be used on Ithaka even if we add 2 more upper bodies on her but it will be able to be used when Ithaka is in short mode (no upper body on her)
