So I set up Ithaka quick, and I still need to fiddle with it but I need to head out for a bit, figured I would post real quick.
I made 2 ~2ohm coils (2.5mm wick in an X with one strand in between)
Anyway.. it seems to take a while for the coils to heat up and isn't really pumping out vapor.

I normally vape 1ohm coils on Ody.. Any idea what I may have screwed up? Should I try to make my coils smaller or lower ohm?

The button isn't getting hot so I don't believe it's shorting at all.. it is producing vapor, I just need to hold the button for a longer period of time for vapor to start producing.

When I get back I'm probably gonna fill it up a little and vape on it more to see how it is, but wanted to get someone's thoughts.

Thanks guys!

First thought is add voltage. I am right at 1Ω with duallys and I have Tenergys stacked. It's hitting like a train. 6mg and I'm getting way too much nic. I chain vape all day. I can't do that w Ithaka.

Is there any difference between 1ohm single and double coils? I'm just using the same AW IMR battery I use on Ody, same ohm rating.. When I get home I'll try to check the ohm rating on the whole Ithaka base to double check, but each coil was about 2ohms.. Hmm

Thats what I meant. I have 2 coils, each at 2Ω. So I have a 1Ω setup. Dual parallel coils. With just a single 18650 it will vape nice, but it takes a few seconds to get going. Once it heated up its a so so vape. With stacked 3v batts (3.4 ish off the fresh charge) It's a whole new device and an insane vape. Nice hot vapor, great TH and the flavor is perfect.

Def check overall res on ithaka. I once had one joint break leaving me with a ~2.2ohm overall. Totally sucked.

Mine is leaking at the base and tank. Any ideas? The o-ring on the base is installed. Tank section is screwed down as much as possible.

So I just checked and the ohm on my Ithaka is reading about 2.8. It's weird because my Ody is reading about 2.9-3.0 - not sure why it's reading that high.. I'm using the ready-made wire that was sent with Ithaka on my Ody (not sure which ones were sent with Ithaka).
I've been using the Ody setup for a few days but it's still pumping vapor really good.
They're both about the same ohm, so shouldn't the Ithaka be pumping vapor, too?

Now I'm just confused! Maybe one of the joints on Ithaka did break, but they're still reading about the same... hmm

imeo, I'm still having leaking problems. I install my wick and coil and the rebuildable part is screwed tightly to the basic feeding and the basic feeding is screwed tight and all the way down to the base. now i screw the liquid control tight and blow into it. I have the basic feeding completely closed. when i blow into the liquid control, and hold my finger on the central air hole to see if any air is leaking. i submerge them in water and notice a lot of air is leaking out of the basic feeding cuts. this means there is a way for the liquid to find its way into the ceramic and finally drain out of the central air hole. i used some aquarium silicone to close the basic feeding cuts and this air leaking went away. can you make a basic feeding part without the cuts??? i would be the first one to buy. why am i experiencing liquid getting into the central air hole? am i missing anything? maybe this basic feeding concept is not a good one after all???

Vaping on it some more.. It's definitely vaping, it just takes a while of holding the button... I'll have to try another setup with a lower ohm.. Weird though!

I don't have enough details, but this sounds like a flooded atomizer to me. Drain the liquid out and vape it with an empty tank. If it vapes better with an empty tank then you know its flooded.

Hmm.. Can't be flooded, it has been like that even when just priming the wicks, before I had liquid in it.

its not good only for you Ali, so you may have a problem with the device itself. It would be better to send it back to me and I will make an online video setting up your Ithaka and we will see where the issue is

May be air leakage occurs through the slots in the base of ceramic, but it is normal...
