So I just checked and the ohm on my Ithaka is reading about 2.8. It's weird because my Ody is reading about 2.9-3.0 - not sure why it's reading that high.. I'm using the ready-made wire that was sent with Ithaka on my Ody (not sure which ones were sent with Ithaka).
I've been using the Ody setup for a few days but it's still pumping vapor really good.
They're both about the same ohm, so shouldn't the Ithaka be pumping vapor, too?

Now I'm just confused! Maybe one of the joints on Ithaka did break, but they're still reading about the same... hmm

Ok. I can't wrap my head around this one. You have 2 premade wires in dual coil setup and its reading 2.8ohm total?
Take the ithaka apart completely piece by piece and inspect it all. A joint break now should read at the premade of 1.5ohms. The whole thing should be in the .7 area.

question: on my Ithaka I can see both o-rings between clear window and metal body, but I don't see them in any picture posted here

should I move those o-rings inside the metal so they sit "on top" of clear window's threadings?
(it came assembled with the o-rings on the clear window)

thanks

Thats what I meant. I have 2 coils, each at 2Ω. So I have a 1Ω setup. Dual parallel coils. With just a single 18650 it will vape nice, but it takes a few seconds to get going. Once it heated up its a so so vape. With stacked 3v batts (3.4 ish off the fresh charge) It's a whole new device and an insane vape. Nice hot vapor, great TH and the flavor is perfect.

Yep, 40 watts is insane! I know everyone is different, but I am getting an awesome vape with a dual X 1 ohm at 3.7v

is your final resistance 1 ohm or 2 ohms? you mentioned before 2.8. if you have 2 ready wires then something is wrong.
Yeah, if you coil it with two 2ohm wires, the final resistance should be 1 ohm.

I'm not using ready wires on my Ithaka.. I'm using 2x 2ohm wires. My multimeter reads the resistance as 2.8ohm.. but I don't know how accurate it is because it reads my Ody resistance as the same thing.. and my ODY has the ready wire on it.

Sorry if it's a bit confusing. Not really sure what's wrong... I'm definitely gonna try to rebuild it with 2x 1.5ohm coils or something.

I don't normally use my multimeter so I don't know if it's accurate or not... I have no idea why it would be reading my Odysseus at almost 3 ohms! It's vaping wonderfully right now with a ready wire.

Put your meter probes together and make a note of the resistance reading. You'll need to subtract that amount when you measure your atomizer resistance

for example: If meter internal resistance is 0.5 ohms and you measure 2.0 ohms on your Ody, then the actual resistance of your Ody is 1.5 ohms.

Yeah, it reads 0 ohm... it's a Klein MM200.

P.S. I'm disassembling my setup now and inspecting it. I'm gonna try to set it up again later on.

I really need to get nickel wire, too.. all I have is silver and it's so delicate!

ding ding ding we have a winner. One of the positive connections was broken.. right on the corner of the black plastic screw. When I went to touch it the OTHER one broke as well! Does this plastic screw touch the base when you screw the rebuildable part in? I'm wondering how I can prevent this from happening again.. at least until I get nickel!

Disconnect that battery and reconnect it. Or even try a new battery. In the meter that is. Something isn't right so Id start by ruling that out.

Also, test one premade wire off to the side while its straight and not coiled.

I think the meter was right.. one of my connections was broken! pretty bummed, too, I had such nice coils made and everything!

another quick thing... my post was also loose from the ceramic rebuildable part.. so I'm thinking it wasn't screwed tight enough and maybe as I was screwing the whole assembly in it turned, breaking the wires. I tightened it up REALLY tight this time with pliers (hoping not to break the ceramic!) and maybe I won't screw the whole assembly into the base QUITE as tight next time.
On the bright side, I had no leakage or anything :)

Thanks guys! I think I know what's wrong now.. I will report back later tonight when I rebuild :)

if you totally screw the clear against metal with o-rings on clear, you will not be able to unscrew clear easily, so do it only if you plan to keep the body as one piece pl. But if you want to be able to take body in pieces then remove the o-rings
