Today's setup is single coil:

2 strands removed from a 3mm wick, so we have 2 wicks 2mm each. Put wicks side by side and put the wire very tight on them. Put wick on channels as usual. The result is thicker vapor and a change on taste. If you think that Ithaka tastes great, try this:)

i must try this afterwards when i reach home!! will see hows the result..

Has anyone tried XC-116 ceramic wick yet??

Hey there Vapor2112, I have tried it and I have to say it is more fuss than it is worth, it is very difficult to work with and frays instantly when you cut it badly.

It was definitely not a win for me.
Hope this helps my Friend;
Sincerely;
Nate
You need to heat treat it to a glowing white hot before hand and then coat it with juice before you cut it, it won't fray at all. It's the best I've tried as far as wicking goes. I find that the XC-116 is just a bit too thick for my Ithaka in a dual wick setup, not enough room between the ceramic and the wicks for the light draw I prefer. It does work excellent on my Penny and Kayfun though and I can dry burn it to almost new condition far more than I could if it were Silica. vaping pretty much tobacco's only this is a big deal to me, my juice tends to gunk up a wick in about a day.

Looking forward to trying it out.

I ordered 1/16" to try in gennies (hear its good with a small amount of SS mesh rolled / inserted inside). Then I ordered 1/32" to try in the Ithaka. This stuff is already kiln fired already so should be good to go. Putting some juice on sounds like a good idea for a clean cut, plus very sharp scissors I assume.. :thumb:

Everything I've heard is that it wicks like a champ, and as you mention, its supposed to handle dry burns VERY well.

It works as usual on higher ohms. Even at 6 volts the behavior is as it was. We just open a little more the mouthpiece

im going to try that setup tonight, i really enjoy the dual coil X, so easy with ithakas design. hey imeo i saw you mentioned that GGTS's will be ready in about 3 weeks or so, what about the stealth with the new design stealth cap? when are they going to be available? i really want another GGTS and a new design stealth cap, id like to buy them new and not overpay in classifieds. i hope i dont miss them again this time around

Even if the single wick that I made before was really great, I desided to use the same method (very tight coil around the wicks) and making a dual one. Same great results. I dont know if all people agree with me but very tight coils work in an exellent way

Imeo, just to clarify.... Do you mean tight as in coils close together? Or tight as in snug around the silica?
